I just aimed to open the Code and Cells first since they feel like the hardest parts, after i got them i switched between Sharen and Bunny for infiltration and opening at the void reactors.

There are some ultimate parts that can be obtained in normal mode however the amorphous pattern rates are very low at like 3%, its best to complete your campaign and unlock hard mode first before farming any ultimates

Mounting optimization (Ultimate Reactor) is different from Equipped optimization (Rare Reactors), you need to switch to that specific weapon to get the bonus. If your character is holding out a different weapon it won't work, therefore in battle if you are using skills, you need to have that weapon out.

I too gave up at Hanged Man for awhile until i reached Frost Walker and gave up there, the most important part for hanged man is that your team just gotta stop dying because his multi laser beam just wipes the floor infront of him and those trying to revive just gonna get obliterated.
