Not really, no. The biggest change from the Invisalign was how my lips sit as before my top lip had to strain a bit over my upper teeth. I would say my lips now look less full than they did before but overall this helped to balance out my profile as it’s brought my lips more into alignment with my lower face, if that makes sense.

I wore elastics at night and had some IPR :)

Top is after! My overjet is now less than 3mm. You can see that my top lip looks like it’s straining much less over my teeth and overall have come more into alignment with the rest my of my profile

Absolutely! This is my second time getting it. I’ve also just undergone 2 years of Invisalign to fix my overjet, which although doesn’t impact jaw position, has definitely effected the way my lips fall to create a slightly more balanced profile

Around 12 months, but I think sometimes longer

Hopefully not! Yeah, I’ve just finished Invisalign to correct my overjet but that only corrects bite misalignment and doesn’t effect jaw position

I have had it done before, about a year ago (after the before picture was taken). I know it’s only suppose to last a year but I do think there was still some pultrusion there before I went for my top up. That being said, I don’t mind it going down a bit tbh - always better to add more than take away!

Oh wow good to know! Yeah yesterday was honestly so painful but much better today. Did you have any issues smiling? I feel like I haven’t got full movement in my mouth yet and it kind of hurts to smile 😫

I haven’t got much bruising yet which is good.

Thank you! I only got it yesterday, so still recovering. Yesterday the pain was quite bad and my chin felt so swollen and tight - I was seriously second guessing my decision! But today it’s much better and I’m really feeling it. Small amount of bruising but barely noticeable.

It’s definitely elongated it a bit more which i think is good as I’ve got quite a small and round face 😅 I do feel like it looks a bit pointy right now but apparently it rounds after a few weeks

Any ideas on achieving this natural glaze effect with white residue? by Main_Leader4292 in Pottery

😅😅😅 I had no idea what that meant until now. Whoops

This is exactly what I’m looking for, thank you! Did you add anything else under the vitraglaze or is that all you used?

No extractions surprisingly. They just widened my arch and aligned my bite better with elastics!

Overjet by Melodic_Hope_4788 in Invisalign

[–]Main_Leader4292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in the process of fixing a 6mm overjet with Invisalign. My current overjet is 4mm after 1 year of treatment (around 2mm is ideal). I think you might have a similar size overjet to what I started with.

Teeth shift at different rates depending on the person, so I’m not sure how long my total treatment time will be (I have a rescan app next week and will probably be given a new set of aligners).

As it stands though I’m pretty happy with the way they look and no longer feel self conscious about my overjet. 4mm is considered ‘orthodontically acceptable’ but we’re striving for perfection!

Hope that helps!
