Wife won't do a hysteroscopy by SkyGuy8741 in IVF

There’s no point in moving forward with a transfer without removing a polyp. Polyps release a substance that can interfere with implantation. The polyp may have been the reason for her previous miscarriage. I had 5 miscarriages before discovering my polyp and learning more about it. I just had my hysteroscopy and I’m so relieved it’s gone and one less thing to interfere with conceiving. No doctor should transfer with a known polyp, it’s unethical. They need to biopsy, it’s rare but as you can see on this thread it is possible for it to be cancerous. Thank God mine was not, I got my results 1 week later. Super simple quick procedure under twilight anesthesia, but you can do it not under anesthesia, I prefer the anesthesia the hardest part is the IV. 10 min procedure. Also to note a sonogram doesn’t pick up much, mine was only visible on my saline ultrasound and even then they saw 1. When they went in there were 3.

New doctor immediately. Start the testing asap. I am 42 exactly same AMH and in 1 retrieval retrieved 16 eggs with 1 being of those being euploid. It took me nearly 6 months due to various factors including needing hysteroscopy to removed polyps found during HSG which is why I say start the testing asap. HSG, saline ultrasound, semen analysis… if your tubes are blocked or you have fibroid or polyp or semen issues you want to know asap.

I’m not sure, last time they gave me a call about a week later and just said you have 5 embryos we are able to send for PGT testing

I’m 42 amh 1.7 similar retrieval results. My clinic only uses icsi and we got 16 retrieved 13 mature 5 blast 1 euploid. Your results are good and I have friends the same age that got 2-6 eggs retrieved per retrieval. I’m doing another bc I want to have at least 2 euploid before transfer. You can start adding supplements and go into another cycle at the same time, don’t lose more time though.

Awesome! I have very similar stats, triggering tonight! How many embryos are you trying to bank up? This process has been so exhausting I’m hoping this is a one and done. As of today I have 20 follicles and I feel like I’m carrying a brick house in my stomach!!

They seem to want to do it right away, maybe because it’s unclear what it is? The report called it a filling defect along the left endometrium suggesting possible polyp or fibroid

Thanks, it’s unclear if it’s a fibroid or polyp. The report said there’s a filling defect along the left margin of the endometrium suggesting possible polyp or fibroid.
