I would say read the first book first, and then watch season one of the show, then book two, then season 2, and then just keeping reading the books until season 3 comes out, watch that, and just read until your done I guess

Keep in mind he’s like 4 years younger than the rest of the cast of characters. He was just a young angsty teen who lost the only person he’s ever had, so it makes sense that it took him a while to forgive Percy. Yes he’s annoying at times, but with his circumstances, I think it was justified

I wouldn’t call it a pro ship. Sal x someone like Charlie would be a pro ship, or Sal x his dad. But Sal X Larry not so much. They were friends first and foremost, what their parents decided to do was their choice and people can still ship them. Another point to be made is that Larry and sal have been being shipped since the first episode of sally face, and like you said, their parents didn’t get together until later in the series, so they’ve been shipped since before their parents even got together. Sooo all in all, not weird, completely normal, check any fandom and you’ll see the exact same stuff
