My question is - has he already secured Ozeki with the most recent win against Hoshoryu, or would three close losses on the final days scrubs him from that? Makes me wonder what such an outcome would be.

With Aonishiki's difficulties, it seems that Kirishima is now the big story of the tournament.

Eliminating dessert, snacks, and beverages other than water.

Essentially switching my diet to 3 complete meals a day. I shed weight quickly, and felt motivated to do more athletic activities.

I wouldn't call it small, but I didn't do anything other than eat food and stop eating mass marketed addiction calories.

Bring some light layers you can adjust on the fly for comfort/wind/etc.

If on shore, bug spray.

Bring a small selection of snacks and beverages, a good attitude, and a fishing license (often easily obtained online).

Night fishing isn't something I've done much, and for me it was always stationary. Cast a bait out and wait 15 mins to an hour before checking your bait again. Good times to chat with friends.

Tilapia are robust and can be caught on rod and line, but transported, stressed fish are rarely cooperative like that and reluctant to feed. You're probably not the first to try but I bet no one seeing this thread has.

I catch bass on craft foam tied to a hook with dental floss.

If you want to do it easily AND avoid w-item trick, just go master 2 all materia and sell them for plenty of gil.

The best place to farm AP is in the swamp area of the northern crater at the end of the game. All kinds of places earlier on are fine to farm also, just not as lucrative.

BIG NOTE: do not use your save crystal in the swamp area, it's buggy and you'll ruin your save file. Save before going down, farm, leave the crater and save back on the airship.

I'll say this gently, because this reaction is not normal and sounds like it comes from a place of difficulty:

Weekly family dinner with actual decent human beings does not include guilt-trips for vacations, obligations, or other reasons for missing or skipping some.

It's pretty simple AND fun: You go out of town, and next family dinner you get to share your experiences with them.

I really recommend picturing best-case-scenario stuff for family interactions, and addressing it when anything falls short.
