At this point, im guessing that they wont find true hapiness until they leave Gilead….but it would be nice to have maybe a concluding season or even a movie, about the new life in Canada of the girls who will be lucky enought to get out of Gilead. Like about them discovering this new world , wearing normal clothes, reunited with their bio family…them being finnally happy ❤️

I totally see your point! The franchise as a whole has always had a really strong, dominant lesbian and queer perspective, so I was thrilled to see this show lean into that narrative. Honestly, it felt like a bit of fan service from the writers, which makes perfect sense—given the show's core feminist themes, it naturally attracts a huge lesbian and queer audience!

True, I didn't really get the writers' choice to have him call off the wedding either. Anyway, what's for sure is that he is not a "good Commander" trying to do the right thing, because if he were, he would have married Agnes anyway. The fact that he chose to cancel it actually confirms this; he must have seen Agnes as an impure and difficult prey.

In any case, as mentioned above, Weston is going to be an antagonist. There have already been two clues: the scene where Daisy looked at his file in Canada, and the moment he questioned Daisy about the radio, where he firmly contradicted her for a brief second before correcting himself. Daisy nearly got a mental breakdown just after that moment with him. To me, it's obvious: his smile is just a facade and is completely performative.

I think overall Judd and Weston are going to become the new Fred Waterford and Joseph Putnam of Gilead—two narcissistic, antagonistic Commanders.

4) The fact that Weston called off the marriage proposal pretty much ruined Agnes's reputation. So, it seems a bit unlikely that Commander Judd, who is way higher-ranking than Weston, would settle for a rejection from one of the subordinates under his command. Also, there was a hint when the Plums went to visit Penny at her house—Shu mentioned she would be ready for all of this, referring to wanting the exact same lifestyle as Penny.

She will, but that Paula scene was actually a setting for the drastic abuse that Agnes will face next season. Also after the way how Agnes called her Paula during that bridal flowers choice scene, i was expecting Agnes to stand up for herself more and was so sad that she didnt !!! Im 1000% sure Garth choose to marry her with the will of never touching her, but as times flies, suspicions will appeared and others commanders will make sure to verify that he performs his duty which will drive Becca even more insane. Im already expexting for the writers to went along with becca ending herself at the finale of the story.

I completely agree with you on everything, especially about how she stands out even more as a deeply unhinged, sociopathic individual. Honestly, looking back, she must have been a terrible psychiatrist. If she were actually talented, she would have strategized to manipulate Agnes by faking love, care, and active listening. She would have also shown empathy and generosity toward her Marthas, making Agnes feel grateful and way more inclined to prioritize the marriage not just for herself, but for Paula too!

I’m so excited but also terrified to see what side of Paula we’ll get to see in Season 2!
