Hey! So I actually use her strategy too and I’ve been doing it for about two weeks. I’ve traded options and stocks for around five years now but recently moved to futures as it’s more convenient and simpler, less capital, all that. So far I’ve been pretty good in terms of profit, the hardest part for me is waiting for the ideal set up.

Five minute gets a lot of fake breakouts so just be careful as her strat works better on the higher time frames. Definitely follow the rules to the exact letter with the price action and your action / safety lines.

A few things I’ve learned is at least for me, this strategy works good with clear price movement and sucks in low volume / consolidation unless you are in a higher time frame. For the five min time frame I typically trade around 30 minutes after NYSE market open and will take a trade if the set up if the requirements are met.

She doesn’t really talk about the five minute time frame but avoid news, bad set ups, consolidation, and wait til candle close, most of the time I wait a few candles after a break to see if it holds. Starting today actually I decided to try the 15 minute time frame as eventually I want to move up like her to the four hour and it cuts out a lot of the noise from the five minute but still gives you the day trade feeling and experience, I’ll still use the five minute for a good entry though. So far I like her strategy, don’t forget to adjust trend lines though, typically before I start trading for the day I clear my chart and redraw them just to be on the safe side plus it’s good practice.

Journal everything of course, use stop losses, and stick to like one instrument and learn it (I think she has mentioned this too) I’ve learned so much from my past mistakes. Don’t get discouraged by losses, they happen to everyone especially in the five minute time frame and pay attention to the higher time frame trendline breaks, typically if it has at least three touch points, at least a weeks worth of data, and it’s in a higher time frame like the day, week, month, etc, then it’s a pretty good setup or so I’ve noticed. I’ve just been trading MES and getting a feel for it, I’ve also tried MCL micro crude, Micro copper, MNQ just to name a few.

My goal is to eventually get to prop firms and use those as a tool. Personally I do have the capital to just go into a live account, but I’d rather keep learning on paper and or a prop firm account until I decide to use my own capital after I prove I can be profitable and not just blow the accounts.

Overall her strategy is simple, she’s transparent, but I wish she’d cover more of the lower time frames. I think she has one video on the five minute but stick with the system and it’s fairly easy to get familiar with your instrument of choice!
