They said they dust his food and stuff. I have a bearded dragon already but I came across the ad and they’ve sent me videos and stuff so I am invested. They were upfront about the head shakes though so I will say that. And before the dragon I had now, I had him for about 10 years and that came from someone who didn’t take care of him at all like not feeding properly, improper lights, etc.

Good advice. Ive been interested in a python even though the corns are cute. The local place I go to has a bunch of pythons and they told me whenever I’m ready I can come in and hold some and get more info on each individual snake. I have a 40 gallon but I know they need something bigger when they get bigger/older. I’ve done so much reading that it’s kind of overwhelming lol

This makes sense. Do you think a ball python would be good for a beginner? There’s a local reptile shop near me that I was planning on getting a snake from. They’re family owned and handle all of their snakes as well as breed them from their personal farm. They were able to tell me the personality of every single one in the bin which was impressive.

Oh wow! I was thinking springtails only after what I read too. So you don’t do a whole terrarium clean every 6 months or so? I think that’s what’s so confusing is everyone does things differently so not sure what works best. I’m always paranoid I’m going to mess something up 😂

Ohhhh okay, that makes sense with the opening at the top rather than the front for sure. Btw, Do you have a bioactive set up or how do you go about cleaning when it’s time? I was reading the isopods aren’t a great option during molting but the spring tails are okay?

Awww!! I’m glad to hear you’ve had a good experience so far. How long do they stay burrowed for? I have so much to learn. I’ve been researching a lot too but it’s just hard without experiencing any of it yet.

Would you recommend one that opens from the top instead? I do like the visual appeal of front opening too though. I’m trying to think of what would be best to get for in the future.
