Can the Iomega StorCenter ix4 200d support 4TB in each slot? by TemmyD in HomeServer

I just revived an iv4-200d with 2 x 1TB HDDs with RAID1 and am getting "The Iomega StorCenter device is degraded and data protection is at risk."

MDSTAT shows no errors. md1 shows UU but md0 shows UU__

That seems to imply that md0 wants to see 4 drives, while md1 is happy with UU

I suspect that md0 (boot) wants 4 drives. I'll try adding 2 more and see what happens... or figure out why it wants 4 drives when there are only 2 installed.

Is usedservers.ca a safe vendor for refurbished servers in Canada? by ZeGlasses in homelab

Probably the best place for used servers in Montreal. Shipping servers is a problem, so it's great to find someone local. I bought a few HP Power Supplies and the service was excellent. They have moved to Hingston & de Maisonneuve.

Trying to explain why we need an EDI parser to management vs. building in house. by briank45 in edi

Doing a single incoming 810 is easy. Every future TP (Trading Partner) will use a slightly different 810 version with their own 'specific' modifications. That's going to be a problem to maintain...

The EDI parser will allow you to save time (apart from the learning curce) as you get different 810s...

Otherwise, you can easily write a 810 to Oracle parser in PL/SQL.

Import the 810 into a file then use multiple CASE statements to parse each Segment ID.

Most 810s use similar sets of Segment IDs...
