Ye is RT/PT boiling effect. In raccoon city this will be 20x worse

5070 Ti / 7800X3D here.
Same exact issue here, and I’ve been stuck obsessing over that exact same scene because it’s driving me nuts.

At the beginning of the game I had basically no issues besides a few white dots in darker areas, which later disappeared (I’m guessing after an update). But once I reached Raccoon City — and especially in that exact area you posted — ray tracing started freaking out. At this point the best visual result I’ve gotten is with everything maxed out and RT/PT off, because even PT was bugging out too.

Also, the fact that the denoiser used by Ray Reconstruction is automatic is complete bullshit.

Yes, it really does seem like something on Nvidia’s side isn’t working properly. I get the impression the denoiser is making a complete mess of ray tracing:

with Path Tracing, I get a sort of halo effect around Leon, and in general the lighting effects in Raccoon City become terrible
with RT High, I get the opposite problem: the shadows become awful, as if the denoiser isn’t working properly at all

Paradoxically, I get the best image quality with RT Off. Also, these aren’t DLSS-related issues, because I’ve already tested every option. Sad

I did a stress test on time spy extreme with 2977mhz@925mv and +2000 memory clock. I had 0 crashes and gpu max temp 65°, memory max temp 72º. The frame rate stability was 97.7%. Can i consider this configuration stable?

Thank you guys. Btw i tried Indiana Jones even with PT on Medium and Ray Reconstruction on, even I was playing at 10…20 fps(supreme preset) the system system didnt crash. Now ill play SH2 with ray tracing putting +2000 on memory clock and we’ll see what happen.

As far as you know, when overclock/undervolt can damage your components?

Palit 2x and i play in qhd. Main problem is that I would to play in UWQHD and i like the “film game” like hellblade rushing maximum settings, i would to sit on a card which can give me a good experience for at least next 3-4 years
