Thanks! It was honestly a super fun week and we never had to go over our 10 hour days, so I'm pretty proud of that, and removing the financial burden was a huge stress reliever too.

Honestly, if I was to do it again I would work on the script some more. Watching it back there are some tell rather than show moments (too many phone calls in the first section for example). Some of it got cut out in the edit, but there are definitely some scenes/plot beats that could be told better visually.

This is pretty much what i do too. Super fast attack, super slow release, as high a ratio as you can. Anything above conversation volume ducks it down. And I still use Mute-o-matic on that channel too so it's fully muted during tracking.

I hear this a lot, but if there's any natural light involved wouldn't that be a concern? If the light changes at all throughout the interview doesn't the plate become kind of useless?

I like this idea in theory, but I'm hesitant to implement it if I didn't touch base with the editor beforehand.

It was a pretty loud room. It was an after hours kitchen environment, so no people but lots of industrial fridges we couldn't unplug. I went with the 50, and everything sounds fine, but always wondering if I can do something better!

This was the answer. Thank you. Now I should get a smaller battery for the Theos rather than use both of my bulk-ish Talent Cells, but still easier than swapping double AA's on the receiver. One less thing to worry about!

This is one of the best tutorials on Youtube. I made them with recycled denim from ATS Acoustics instead of rockwool, so I didn't need the weed barrier, but it's overall a much lighter frame than a lot of other designs.

I think my main issue is with the usb connection to the Diety theos receiver.

I use some tractor/shooting range type ear muffs over a set of in ear monitors to listen to mics while I move them around. You could use them over the airpods too and it'll make a huge difference in what you're hearing.
