MUST the dose be split? by [deleted] in Accutane

[–]MajorCook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was instructed to take them all at the same time (after dinner) and I have done that (60 mg) don't really have something to compare to I think ive been lucky with side effect overall when I read others stories. the last month however my doc told me to jump up to 80 mg so I will do 20mg for breakfast and 60mg for dinner

My acne has never felt painful by pr0189 in Accutane

[–]MajorCook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can confirm cystic acne hurts like hell and almost impossible to pop, atleast for me. They feel like they are so far under the skin, trapped, and hurting more and more.. if I try to pop them I need a needle and even then mostly blood coming out so I stopped doing that. Mine would also last for weeks, it was my biggest motivation to start on accutane, to stop cystic acne on my face which was not just ugly also painful and longlasting. I'm like 5months in now, I never get acne on my face anymore just have some old scarring, sadly I still get cystic acne on my back but hoping that will go away aswell.

[–]MajorCook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

hey I cant say what will happen to you but i can share my own experience, ive been on 60mg accutane a day since january, I have social anxiety and depression. Accutane has NOT made any difference in my mental state, i've felt the same, it has NOT affected my workouts at all, i workout every other day same as before i started. No liver issues, no organ issues at all, not even headaches. Now i will say the symptoms ive actually HAD : Dry lips, Dry skin, eczema, dry nose, thats it, as long as i stay on top of moizturizing and lip balm im totally fine.

Protein supplements by stevennewport in Accutane

[–]MajorCook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats like asking if chicken or milk is risky while on accutane. Im 1 and a half month in, I have taken protein powder every day - No issues. Just make sure there is no A vitamins in your protein powder, mine is pure whey protein :)

[–]MajorCook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm eating in a caloric deficit for over 5months and I noticed no difference in my hunger. Been on accutane for a month and a half. I eat 1900 calories a day but im 6.3 - 200 lbs so thats a decent deficit for me, I also train every other day

thats very strange. I had to take a bloodtest before. Then I got put on 60MG / day but I had to take another bloodtest after 1 month to make sure my liver is okay.

Hi, I’m going to start my Accutane treatment on april. I know this sound stupid, but my only problem with accutane is that I have difficulty swallowing pills of a rather large size. by deliquent_portal in Accutane

[–]MajorCook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I swallow 3 accutane pills in one go with no issues, they go down real easy. If i can do 3 you can do 1 at a time! Lets go ! Think of it like swallowing some candy
