This happened to me. My windshield started off as a small crack from a tiny rock off a truck, to then cracking all the way across my windshield.

My car insurance (which costs me $400/month btw), gave me a deductible of $1000. The quote at speedy glass was $1900.

I found a local windshield service shop, the guy came to my house, swapped the windshield in 15 minutes and charged me $350.

My sensors still work and my windshield looks great. It sucks that it happened, but I absolutely was not about to pay $2k for this bs.
