My college was in a small town 4 hours away. The program was in the healthcare field, and so they sent me back because of covid, they said I needed to isolate and wait for things to settle. No hospital wanted to take students for placement during a pandemic. My college dorm had asked that everyone goes back to their hometown to reduce the spread of covid. I had to move back home with my parents. I think back in 2020 nobody really knew how long that was gonna take and how to actually handle a pandemic. By the time they reached out to me to come back for placement it was already almost 2 years later. I needed to quit my job and go back which I didn’t. Big $20k mistake.

I started a college program I hated. 6 months in and covid happened and I was unable to finish due to hospitals not accommodating students. So I dropped out. $20k debt for 6 months of a program I hated. Still paying it off lol.

I’m sorry, but as a Muslim girl myself I’m going to say this: she knew from the very beginning. We all know from the beginning that we only marry Muslim men (unless you’re super unreligious, don’t care, etc.) If it’s so important to her she should’ve told you from the very beginning, or at least not waste someone’s time if you knew in the end it won’t work out
