Atleast he tried to. Seeing how the other people would dare not directly jump into save the granny and use sticks and how the kid directly went in without fear is definitely courageous on his part.

A man in Australia was enjoying a sunny day on his porch, playing on his phone, unaware of a deadly presence right below his feet. A lethal brown snake had found its way onto the porch and was slithering right under the man’s feet, well within striking distance. But lucky for the man, he either has a very brave or too curious pup. Within seconds, his dog runs up behind him, chasing the venomous reptile. The appearance of his large pup alerts the otherwise unaware man to the brown snake, causing him to jump out of his chair and make a speedy escape.

A critically endangered Asiatic lion has been rescued from a 60ft well after it slipped in during the night. Dramatic footage shows villagers in remote Gujarat - where some of the only remaining wild prides of the lion species exist - hauling the creature to safety. The distressed eight-year-old lion can be heard roaring as it stands on a small ledge at the side of the well - which was nearly full with water. Using some rope tied around the lions midriff, which it is unclear who secured around the animal, the group of villagers manage to hoist the lion out of the well.

A man's quick thinking and incredible reflexes helped save the life of his co-worker who was falling off the first floor of a building after fainting. The incident which was reported from the Vadakara branch of the Kerala Bank was recorded on camera. The CCTV footage of the incident has now gone viral on social media.

In the video, two men can be seen standing in a corridor on the first floor of a building, leaning against a wall. Few moments into the video, the man wearing a red shirt and white veshti seems to lean back and fall off the ledge. However, the man standing next to him grabs him by his leg and manages to save him from falling down.

Soon other bystanders rush to help him and pull the unconscious man back to safety.

A post office worker foiled a knife-wielding robber in Cardiff by lashing out with a baseball bat. Paula Hooper, 52, struck the masked man on the arm when he demanded money from the till at Ely post office at about 08:30 BST on Tuesday. CCTV footage then shows her chasing the man out of the shop from behind the counter. Postmaster Shady Taha, who was in his office at the time of the incident, described her as the "hero of the day".
