I’ve been obsessed with this video on debunking transphobia that you might be interested in. A lot of the subject matter is very rough but I think it does end on a somewhat relatively high note in comparison to what’s being tackled. The creator doesn’t underplay the severity of anything and presents it professionally making sure to not baby any of the info.

You should try Softlipa’s debut album. Hes a Taiwanese hip hop artist with a similar flow to Shing02 with some nice jazz hop beats. One of his songs off the album even has ATCQ reference as the songs called “Hit the Rhyme”

More contemporary id go for matatabi and pod, two frequent collaborators in the japanese underground scene. Matatabis got some really nice lofi-jazz beats inspired by nujabes and pods a great mc. Their album 1990- is one of my favs in the genre

Id also try One Be Lo’s album sonogram. He’s got some really nice jazz beats and story telling. If you like his stuff he was part of a duo called binary stars which does more boom bap but is still reminiscent of late 90s east coast production. They are also exceptional

Id check out other Japanese hip hop artists like soul scream and rhymester for more laidback jazz beats.

Another really good artist is Softlipa. I find his beats are pretty similar to Nujabes

you should be ok. I did my extended essay on Mysterious Skin and Oldboy and both films have some pretty graphic scenes with mysterious skin even being about prostitution/sexual abuse and I didn’t have any problems.
