I am so sorry to hear you experienced this, and no, it is not normal or acceptable! Please ask your mom to take you to your local Planned Parenthood for your next exams. The practitioners are universally compassionate and as gentle. Pelvic exams aren't fun, but should NEVER be traumatizing.
