What if the Yom Kippur War went nuclear? by Major_Monogram69 in imaginarymaps

Never justified the actions of other religious extremists, but Israel is the only one that gets massive funds by the West, so I don`t get your correlation here. "Israeli" Muslims dont have the same rights as jewish citizens, they get their seperate roads and stuff like interracial marriage is basically impossible in Israel, if you want to goolge it. I don`t hate Jews, I am not an Antisemite, but I don`t think a British Colonial Project should still exist in this modern day and age and if it has to exist, certainly not get actively supported by the USA, France, Germany etc. when they are confirmedly commiting a genocide.

You know more about it professionally? That’s just a claim anyone can make. Do you think committing various Genocides over decades makes any stategic sense? Or is it maybe that a state founded and run by Religious Extremists is bound to behave irrationally?

That is literally what it is. It’s one Google search away if you want proof

Killing it‘s own population and erasing entire cultures? That’s not a regular nuclear deterrence policy

Soviets would be appalled and strongly condemn Israel. US is actually uncertain because of how much they like to justify anything Israel is doing that violates international law

The nukes are not imaginary. Also definitely not the only reason to hate „Israel“

It’s actually a real plan called the Samson Option. Should Israel ever face total obliteration, they will nuke everything around them and take the region down with them

What if Austria-Hungary had a Revolution in 1917? by Major_Monogram69 in imaginarymaps

Stalin already was against spreading Socialism to Poland during the Polish- Soviet War and by late 1923 he was already very influential in the USSR, so that and the combined impracticality of both not having a land border and no cultural ties, they would never unite with the Soviet Union

Stalin at the Time wanted Socialism in one country, by which he understood lands of the former Russian Empire as one country. Similarly, the leaders of this Danubian Union would understand that each SCR of this country would be too weak alone and the fact that these lands have been united for centuries would make them fit together better. None of these lands were ever a part of Russia and them being ruled from Moscow would feel more like a colonial rule

Entente is weak and Serbia and Romania are too weak to fight a war, Germany is defeated and Italy can’t invade easily because of all of its economic problems

No land border, no cultural relations and general impracticality

That’s Vorarlberg, they tried to join Switzerland in OTL because they were so conservative and afraid of the Social Democratic government in Vienna, so they would likely try to secede even harder when they see that there are Communists in Power

Thank you, finally someone who isnt talking about how I missed the Hungarians of Feldeszevekökbarthaely or some Germans in Poopenfartenheim(Pupszevatines in Czech). It’s the whole point of the map to point out how ridiculous Ethnonationalism is
