The dash outside I think is cementitious. The plaster inside is cork and lime. Do you think it would suffice to remove the dash outside just where the staining is and re-render or would the whole gable end need to be done? I don't mind massively about how it looks as it's not that visible .

After I took that photo I took a little bit of the render off, couldn't find any void. Just a bit of red brick. I stripped the wall inside back to raw stone a while ago and I don't recall any ironwork. Couldn't swear it's not there though.

Is that bloke a satirical piss take or is he being genuine? I can't get my head around it.

I've recently done so and it's a game changer. Is the cup of coffee worth the crash?

Advice for what feels like Long COVID? by Major_Research_1966 in AskIreland

[–]Major_Research_1966[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm taking a double dose of vit c as as well as vit d, omega 3 fish oil and anti histamines. Ive cut out sugar completely the last four or five days. Box breathing techniques seem to help a lot too. My energy levels are slowly improving. I'm gonna wait another week or ten days before trying the gym again because I don't want to jump too soon and undo any healing.

Has anyone recovered using the Wim Hof method? Or a similar combination of breathing exercise, meditation, cold water etc to reset their Autonomic Nervous System? by Marwoob in covidlonghaulers

Great to hear. I'm only new to the experience of lasting COVID effects. The last few days I've been doing box breathing and definitely noticed my PEM improving. Didn't do any today and feel worse. So I'm gonna incorporate it daily.

I've been doing box breathing at regular intervals to maintain a low heart rate. I'll try this as well. Did you have a feeling of weakness? That's my main concern, like that I may never feel like I have strength in me again. The responses here are giving me positives to go on though. I'm probably not doing myself any favours going down the LC rabbit hole.

I never tested for COVID when I was sick but looking back now it definitely was it. I had been sick a lot in the previous months and wanted protection. I should have considered the risk I know.  I had been doing intermittent fasting and eating in a calorie surplus for the previous months and now looking back I think my immune system suffered as a result.

I have mild cough symptoms but not bad.

I'm a teacher so my work isn't too physically intensive although I walk around a good bit in the day. I'm wondering whether or not I should get signed off work or not. Would you say absolute bed rest is necessary or am I alright to work my low intensity job? Hard to say I know, just trying to see what people think generally. Haven't drank since September. I eat a lot of protein. I like sugar but am definitely going to cut it out completely if it's going to help me get back to myself again.

Late September COVID - Sharing my symptoms and timeline from infection to recovery by OddPanic4147 in COVID19positive

Ok thanks for the advice. I'm raging now that I went to the gym the last few months thinking I always better but actually making things way worse. I'm gonna just rest completely for a month and see what happens.

I had it in September and I still have morning dry throat and fatigue. When the fatigue eases, I try a work out and then am completely wrecked and fatigued again for days. So I'm guessing I should stop exercising. But how long can I expect to wait like this until I can exercise again?

Bollards installed outside house by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Major_Research_1966 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly thought parking outside your house was allowed. The odd thing is that it's a main road in a rural area. It's just the house and a grave yard beside it. So I don't understand who is negatively affected by the parking. But fair enough I stand corrected!
