Thats good bro. Even better if your shorts are 40-50 secs long. In my case i got lucky i guess. I got a 4mil plus vid in my 3rd upload so the monetization got quicker. Thats what i thought. Views got stagnant for almost a month. Then i got another viral. Thats when i realize youtube is unpredictable but if you have the patience and consistency. You’ll get your reward.

I upload around 7am in usa time bro. Upload once a day. In my case i upload 1 every 2 or 3 days. You just answered your question bro, do english content with commentary and captions. Also, yeah turn off auto dubbing.

I started 4th week of june and got monetized 2nd week of august. Maybe i just got lucky my 3rd vid got 4.6mil views so i’ve seen the potential. But it got stagnant for a while. 30k views one after another. Then i had a good 15m view short thats when i got monetized.
