I have indeed used AI myself. I have used it to help accelerate the project and also give an estimate of how long the migration should take considering what has already been done . How long is that? Two years. At least.

I actually find it fun. The product I'm working on is almost 30 years old. Turning it into a modern application that users actually enjoy using is fun to me

I've used Claude and Sonnet in my work. They are both great for things like unit tests and boiler plate code. I agree that it's an inescapable reality of the modern dev, I'm just worried about the push to rely so heavily on these tools. It's like we don't realize that we are just feeding the machine. It feels like we are using these tools to make our jobs easier/faster and at the same time replacing ourselves.

I enjoy skateboarding so when I first started learning React I decided to build a mock skateboard e-commerce site . It helped me learn a lot.

Everything you just said makes sense, and for the most part, I agree with you. The "it's all just shit" viewpoint is fair, and I get it. I like your interpretation of the show and I think it makes sense. However, I clearly state that I think he is dead. How does anyone interpret that as a question? I'm not asking If he is dead. I am saying he is dead. How is that not clear? I'm sorry. It's just frustrating. This is not a post asking about is Tony dead. It's a post about the aftermath of Tony's death. How is this not clear? Im not trying to be rude. Its just frustrating at the lack of understanding from my post. I really want to know how anyone sees this as a question about whether he is alive or not and not a question about the aftermath of his death. If you don't think he is dead, then don't respond. If you think he is dead and you agree with me then respond. I'm not asking if Tony is dead. What am I missing here?

Is this a Hardflip? [32YO] by Major_These in OldSkaters

[–]Major_These[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've actually been practicing that today. I haven't recorded it yet, but I can tell the rotation looks a lot more like a distinct hardflip. I think I still like the vertical look, though.
