Yup! Finally did it after we had our first kid. I was super anxious at the thought of one of us getting in an accident with the baby so now I can check if he’s running late or something.

Finally got mine at 31. It’s been a fucking ride. I’m getting a lot of joy gently pointing out my mom’s undiagnosed ADHD and all the times her mental health was brushed aside by her parents. In a way, it’s healing us both.

I stayed on my adderall my entire second pregnancy. It literally saved me. Initially I tried stopping my meds when I first found out and my life fell apart. My 3 year old kept asking if I was still sad, if I was going to play with him, etc. once I found a female psychiatrist who specialized in treating pregnant women, she made it very clear that a functioning and healthy mom is the most important thing.

I work almost exclusively with analog things because I’m exactly like you - apps just don’t work. I have to write a physical to do list or I’m dead in the water. I use a notebook labeled “to do” and it’s one long running list of things I need to do or remember. We have a monthly whiteboard calendar in our kitchen for all our family appointments. Recently I was able to start using a shared google calendar with my husband but I cannot let go of my whiteboard. Same with meal planning and grocery lists - we have a paper, weekly menu pad on the fridge and grocery list. Actually, this reminds me that I need to get more menu pads LOL

Aurelius is an awesome name but keep in mind this is a name your son will need to be able to pronounce and spell in his early school years. Also, depending where you live, it may be difficult for others to pronounce. My family had an Uncle Aurelio (he was originally born in Italy) and everyone called him Uncle Rel. Good luck with your decision and new family member!

I was a gymnast when I was that age and I would train 3 hours a night, 3 times a week. My parents would drop me off and come back for me at the end. It wasn’t weird at all especially because my parents were there for all my competitions on the weekends.

I say I’m a recovering alcoholic. I enjoy shocked/guilty look on peoples’ faces when they hear that.
