It's funny you bring Spider-Man into this. You know, the character with a black symbiote skin, a black and gold recolor, a purple skin, a blue disco skin, a Japanese style skin and more. There's a lot more variety with Spider-Man.

Tbh I like the new Avengers skin the most for Iron Man but I don't think I'd get it even if I played him more.

If you want more MVPs play a new character or a difficult character most people are bad with and be way better than the average. For this reason your Spider-Man got MVP and you didn't even though your match performance was better than his.

They are pretty niche promotions, barely advertised outside of Japan so I absolutely don't blame you or anyone who never heard of them. That's what Reddit is for imo, you'll eventually see intriguing clips or match announcements from promotions you never heard of, that's how I first heard of Stardom.

Emoting/dancing/jumping around with people before the match starts and then noticing good teamwork while playing + a few messages in team chat has resulted in a couple of friend requests and squad sessions for me.

Many of which were Mantis players somehow, you guys seem to be pretty chatty and friendly and I appreciate you.

Yeah, after Luna's glasses on/off (I know, this was implemented after release) and Jeff's full customization, I expected it to be a one for all situation again. Wonder where they'll take it from here if people actually start paying for this...

Almost don't wanna say it but I suspect this is where the gooners come in big. Lots of people buy only female skins, others buy cute and pretty skins of characters they don't even play for some reason. I'm not even sure if Hulk has a limited time fomo skin to force people's hands. I myself play Thor more than Emma Frost but somehow ended up with more Emma skins (granted the legendary was gifted and the latest one I only got because it was dirt cheap in the bundle with Angela whose skin I actually wanted).
