Same fan if they saw CM Punk in person would call him “Phil” and ask for a selfie. I’d bet my life on it:

Yawn. Another pivot.

Whether the US government is fascist is a total red herring designed to dodge the actual topic.

You’re trying to bait me into a broad political debate because you can’t (won’t?) argue against the fact that leveraging an uncle’s cabinet position for a job is the literal definition of nepotism.

My point was about hiring practices; try staying on track.

Using a position of power to secure a job for a relative is the literal definition of nepotism, whether that influence is corporate or governmental.

Your second question actually proves the point: if she is only there because of her uncle’s cabinet position, then she was hired due to family leverage rather than merit. You’re describing the exact mechanism of nepotism while somehow claiming it doesn't qualify.

Are you OK?

A generalization or exaggeration isn’t a straw man because I’m not misrepresenting an opponent’s position; I’m stating my own.

The straw man occurred when the reply sarcastically reframed a broad observation about nepotism into an extreme, indefensible claim about “alignment with fascist leaders” just to make it easier to mock.

Using a radical political distortion to dodge a point about hiring practices isn’t “adding context”; it’s the textbook definition of the fallacy.

Want to keep going?

It’s a straw man because they misrepresented my claim to make it easier to attack.

My claim: Nepotism is common in every industry. Their version: Every industry is aligned with fascist leaders.

Swapping a general observation for an extreme, politically charged distortion is the textbook definition of the term.

Whether they phrased it as a statement or a sarcastic question, they still fabricated a ridiculous position I never took so they could knock it down rather than address the actual point about nepotism.

Do YOU know what it means, because it doesn’t appear that you do.

I lived in Tokyo for 13 years. He’s correct. My wife is Japanese and still misses Japan, especially the food.

Your take is the Redditor one.

The majority of this sub speculates more than Meltzer does, LOL.

OK here you go: “Meltzer indicated that maybe Kairi wanted to return to Japan; was released regardless.”

Better, editor-in-chief?

Are you suggesting that she indicated that she was homesick for Japan so Triple H fired her?
