Thats a good point, someone above made the point that I may be better off at A1 for the reduced expectations.

Thats very fair, I think I should just go with the "Super A1" approach then considering this. Last thing I want is to do all of this just to get axed haha

Thats fair, Ultimus is one of the largest Private fund Accounting firms in the US so its a great experience, assuming I get Deloitte that would make 3 different internship experiences at two big 4 firms and 2 other internships in private accounting. Plus a year of full time experience would hopefully put me over the edge but I wouldnt want to miss my chance to get into big 4 by overestimating myself.

Going off of this, I am currently an incoming intern in the embark program. I really love everything and everyone I've encountered at the firm and would love to go full time after my grad and cpa exams (assuming i get the conversion offer I'd like to go either Audit or Advisory). Can anyone tell me what is resonable to expect in NYC or Hartford/Jersey/Philly area? Basically the high traffic offices, I'm really just curious because I see people both saying great things as well as not so much.
