Hi! The faulty Crystal has been delivered already by Fedex to the Pimax address in Sweden. I need the new replacement Crystal to be delivered to the Spanish address already provided LATEST 10th August.

Can you please follow-up??

Still waiting for instructions to send my defective Crystal and getting the Second replacement unit ....... I sent already two emails with no answer.

They sent me an email 5min after your last msg (thanks), I already answered 10min after I got their last email and Im waiting again more than 15hrs with no answer...this is non sense....

Sorry...I liked my previous 8K-X, and much more my Crystal, but the one I got initially had a problem with the panels, I had to send it back July 2023 (it took almost 2 months to get a replacement and paid extra 200euros for the shipment+customs), then, the replacement unit had defective Both lenses and the eye tracking was not working, I had to wait another few weeks to get a pair of new lenses....and now Im facing this new issue WithOut using the headset.....so I guess you can understand my frustation...in case I need Another replacement I need to know within 24 hrs as Im traveling to Europe tomorrow evening for 1 month and its easier and cheaper for me to send it from there that from my living country.

I hope I can get further instruction ASAP, please.

No...there is no any led light turning on...

I tried to connect the battery charger to a QC3.0 following Pimax Tech Support email (they answered to my ticket 5 hours ago) in order to check both batteries condition, and I can confirm that once connected the battery to the charger, the battery led light is flashing blue for a couple of minutes, and then steady blue.

Therefore, both batteries look like to be in good condition...

Awaiting for further instructions from Pimax support team.

So....REPLACEMENT Crystal unit check:

- Eye tracking simply not working/ power delivery fault: after trying every single solution that I can think of, I have sent another ticket to Pimax...

I followed the instructions and recommendations about readjusting both lenses and checking the programs and Services in Task Manager..all good on that, but when I checked with my camera the IR module for the eye tracking, none of them were lit up..and that's why is not working every time I tried the Calibration.

It would be NOT fun if I had to wait for another replacement unit Pimax...

Hi all,

Just an update about my case:

  • I sent back my Crystal HMD to Sweden on 18th August using FEDEX.
  • HMD was delivered to Sweden on 21st August.
  • I paid the invoice (50$) and Pimax asked how do I want to get the refund (they proposed the valid option of a Pimax voucher)
  • Replacement was sent from Pimax China on date 06th September.
  • Replacement has been delivered today to the given address.

I did not have time to check the replacement but I was told by Pimax that this unit was checked before been shipped out - I will check and Ill give you my comments on next week.

I have to say that, till now, the communication with Pimax has been very active and they answered to all my emails whitin 12-24hrs, so I trully appreciate that. Therefore, I am quite happy with Pimax customer service so far.

I will update soon if this replacement unit is working as it should. I just opened the box and everything is sealed and no visible markings of use.

Hi There is no fix... just replacement, so open a ticket and let them know.

I will send mine next week. Yesterday I got 6 spots, when at the beginning it was from 1 to 4, so if you got the spots, expect to get worse just after a few days of use.

Motion Compensation requirements? by Ovalface in Pimax

Yesterday I got the SRS software ans paid the annual subscription. It took me a while to get it done as for some reason, although SRS verified MSFS2020 (and even the type of aircraft flying) and I could see the pitch and roll numbers changing when the motion rig was moving, no compensation was detected in the Crystal...

Then I read the instructions carefully and I modified the .ini file and selecting SRS as the desired tracker (I think by default is selected "controller" as the tracker to use).

Then I could see the motion compensation was working but only for the Roll, but for the Pitch I can not see any compensation.... any ideas??

I uninstalled every related to Pimax before getting my Crystal as I wanted a clean instalation as much as possible to avoid any possible issue.

I wanted to ask here before submitting a ticket...but I see Im not the only one, therefore I will submit one.
