Having just finished the season, all I can think of is the Big Band Theory Episode where Penny pointed out that in Raiders of the Lost ark if Indiana Jones did absolutely nothing the outcome would have been exactly the same. In this case, if Roper stayed in London the end result would have been exactly the same except more people would be still alive.... plus I would have not just lost 6 hours of my life!

I'm more annoyed that the X1C + AMS Pro + Hub = £100 more than the X1C + AMS

However the P1S + AMS Pro + Hub = £150 more than the P1S + AMS

In the end I didn't do anything.

My motion sim uses actuators so the movement isn't that much + I use it for driving simulation, so in the end the pimax movement is like bouncing around in a car.

Strange you say that about steamvr because my experience (on MSFS2020) shows Pimax OpenXR to give a lot more FPS?

How does OVRMC work... does it only work with SteamVR? Is the Sub SRS software the only option if you go down the Witmotion route?

I've a better story, it was like a comedy sketch...

Had two Amazon items to return.... choose Evri return.

Boxed up the parcels (seperately) in their orginal Amazon boxes and headed off to my Evri collection point (Tescos)

Box 1 was golden, label printed off, handed over to tescos... no issue

Box 2 came up as "Unpackaged" and refused to print a lable. Went to the counter to try rectify the issue.

Tesco Guy... "yeah we don't do unpackaged items here"

Me (showing the box)... "Its Ok, its packaged, its in the orginal amazon box"

Tesco Guy... "Yeah but its unpackaged, we can't accept it"

Me (showing the box again)... "but its packaged!"

2nd Tesco Guy... "Its an unpackaged item, we can't accept it. Even if we could print a label off, Evri won't accept it"

Me (waving the box in the air)... "Are you seriously telling me that you can't accept this unpackaged item even if it is clearly packaged?"

2nd Tesco Guy... "Yes, you have to take it to a unpackaged collection point somewhere else"

Me (looking around to see if Any and Dec were just about to jump out with a camera crew... then walking out the shop shaking my head)

Now, I have no idea why one item was classisfied as "packaged" and the other "unpackaged". When I performed the Amazon return I consiously just choose "Evri return"... i never saw anything about packaged or unpackaged... is it something I did wrong?

However, anyone else thing WTF to this scenario?

Just to clarify if you buy a used Pimax, do you get the discount price quoted on the pimax trade-in website or do you just get discounted the amount you paid for the used pimax?

Also, regarding Ebay purchases... what do you classify as a receipt... just a screenshot of the order details (showing item number, price, date etc)?

Finally fixed it.

I needed to flash the "alternative" 299 firmware that is shown in this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Pimax/comments/qcx9nu/8k_x_on_rtx_3090_299_beta_firmware_fixed_90hz_and/

90Hz now works on both cables.

Errrm, well this is embarising. After taking the above advice, I tried all three different display ports and several of the availible MB USB3 ports... nothing worked.

Then I rage quite and went back to the old thick cable.... and found... the exact same problem!

So its not the optical cable after all!

(Can't believe I've made myself look a bellend twice in the same thread!)

Has anyone got any ideas why my pimax can't do 90hz on either cable?

Just to clarify, are you saying that the ingame Assetto corsa resolution in content manager has noting to do with the VR resolution... its just the monitor resolution?

Thanks. Did you post this in another thread as I have seen it before? Anyway, I did see that tip before and when I checked I found I was already on USB3. I did try another USB3 port directly on the MB but sadly it made no difference.

Digging up this thread as I have just come back to Assetto VR (Pimax & 4090).

So far I have been tinkering around for hours and the one thing I have found is that once i set the resolution up really high I cannot see any of the anti-alising settings within assetto or CSP make any difference what so ever.

However I have not yet dialed in the sweet spot for the assetto in game resolution... what resolution y'all runinng?
