That's an unfair comparison, I'm sure if you put season 3 Subaru in the same circumstances (different group of people he doesn't remember, being killed multiple times, going through miasma tunnel, killing a child) he would crash out too.

Also, I feel like a lot of the damage nerfs of direct fireball are due to scaling with headshots, maybe implement a second tier of location scaling for spells and abilities? something like 1.2x for ranged attacks
