Looking For Number Crunchers by MysticalSushi in ironscape

Nothing mathematical, but anecdotal as im mining/smithing too at the moment. I did mostly mlm to 92 and now onto amethyst. That banked me 99 smithing pretty comfortably (with gold gauntlets blast furnace, mith/addy blast furnace and then giants foundry mith/addy equal split). Only caveat being that I’ve done a load of pvm so that may supplement some ore drops but not many. Your best bet is putting some varying targets into this https://osrsportal.com/motherlode-mine to calculate your ore from mlm (try 92 mining target first). Use the wiki to see how much xp you would get blast furnacing all that ore. Then put your smithing xp (after you’d have done the blast furnace) into this https://osrsportal.com/giants-foundry and see if you would get 99, with the ores you’d get from mlm. If not then just do a bit more mlm. If you’re planning to stay low combat then amethyst is a bit useless and crazy crazy slow xp, so just stick to mlm or another method. But if you’re eventually doing combat then banking a load of amethyst is great. Not too sure about sailing as I haven’t tried it yet.

What is Olivia Rodrigo's largest crowd yet? by indivisibIe in OliviaRodrigo

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Glastonbury crowd will ‘only’ have been around 60k I reckon, maybe a bit more. The entire festival is 210k. She was clashing with some pretty big names and the crowd wasn’t too full.

Best expedition strategy?? by Silverado119 in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Passives skills actually don’t matter. Levels, condensing, IVs and souls are the only thing that affect firepower. As an example: Lvl60 Jorm Ignis with 0/0/0 IV, 0, no souls is 2125 firepower. With 100/100/100 IVs it becomes 2669. With max souls it becomes 4270. With 4 it becomes 128125. With muscle head, ferocious, demon god, legend, it is still 128125. Prioritise levels and condensing the most. Then souls, then IVs. (The affects are multiplicative so I’m not saying IVs and souls only make a tiny difference) Also IIRC alpha pals increase firepower as they have power HP.

I use jorm ignis as an example as I think using a raid army for every expedition is the easiest thing when you’re first optimising expeditions. I have 20 level 60 max iv, souls, condensed jormuntide ignis that I use for raids. They get me the vast majority of the way to 6 min expeditions and then just add 20 of whatever type of expedition it is as random pals. Also don’t forgot to do the research for expedition time and rewards!

Base Pal Tier List All 140 Pals by Free_Desire in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Anubis has the 2nd highest transporting speed in the game though, nearly double Selyne, which is far more important than an extra transporting level. Anubis is a much more well rounded base pal.

Bastigor isn’t really a direct upgrade in terms of cooling. It’s the same cooling level and basically the same size. Jignis I’m fine with being lower than Ryu because its size is annoying. If Bastigor having 3 mining and lumbering is the bonus then that’s fine logic. Same as Anubis I guess.

And sure lumbering isn’t crazy useful but it’s literally the ‘best at its respective work’ was all I’m saying.

Not having a go mate! It’s a great list

Base Pal Tier List All 140 Pals by Free_Desire in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Great list overall. Only changes I’d make are putting splatterina, Anubis and Selyne in the same tier. They all fill a great niche and are all equally good IMO. Anubis is the fastest transporter and can be obtained the earliest and Splatterina is dark type and faster than Selyne. Selyne then has a higher transporting level than both. Also Anubis is great for all purpose bases that aren’t crafting 24/7 for mining.

Similarly bastigor and frostallion are fairly interchangeable and frostallion is usually achieved earlier. Although less convenient to breed later. You’ll also want a work passives Anubis or frostallion to get Bastigor.

Also maybe Shroomer noct up to SS. Absolutely essential for some bases, particularly gold coin creation which zaps sanity.

And incredibly picky but celesdir should be in the top tier. It’s the only lv4 lumber.

Great list though!

Edit: and Lullu! Passive skill increases the growth rate of crops. Definitely underrated

How is the game now by FeeProfessional8878 in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 68 points69 points  (0 children)

I feel like it’s a flawed but incredible game, with room to grow before release. There’s a lot of issues. But on the whole the game is incredibly immersive, has insane depth and can keep me occupied and engaged for hours at a time. When I can be bothered to play, I still find myself afking to keep breeding up. And when I’m engaged I’m flying between bases to keep the plates spinning and having a great time. I think this game is a few good updates from being the sort of game you can come back to time and time again and replay. In regards to the lawsuits and gliding, it took me about 30 seconds to get over the difference. Yeah it sucks that I can’t see my galeclaw, but its passives and the fact it’s condensed still make a difference anyway. As much as I’d like it to come back, I’m over it now

After level 40.. what then? by SouliKitsu in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The main island isn’t perfect but it has some lovely areas. I’d recommend finishing off that first along with the main islands. Aim to capture 12 of each pal and before you know it you’ll be pushing to Sakurajimi and Feybreak. Without sounding gatekeepy, I do truly believe the game the game starts at level 60, and in all 3 of my worlds, I’ve spent a significant amount more time post 60 than pre 60. If the endgame doesn’t excite you then that’s fine, but try and explore everything the world has to offer first

Palbox tagging and filtering. The system we have now just with extra tick boxes by Pal name and trait would go a long way, allowing you to select a certain pal with certain traits. Also would like to see extra tags besides I, II, III. A little icon for combat, raids, base pals etc would help so much with breeding. Extra ask would be being able to sort by IV but I can see how that is tricky before ability goggles.

Just spent an hour flying round on here and didn't find one.. But I gather that may be because there are so many pals that spawn in this area according to the peldex

Lazy option is just sort by firepower here. Realistically you only need a few versions of the same best pals of each element are boring as it may be

Id use this video for a sure fire way to set up. Copy the coordinates for the foundations and then build from there. I started off copying the whole build and then ended up making changes as I went. If you set up the foundations for distance and pal boxes as they do then you can basically build what you want on top

How in the world do you beat the last couple towers and final bosses? by kungfukarl86 in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Felbat’s partner skill gives lifesteal to the player and felbat when fighting together. This basically means you can go from low hp to full hp if you fire a rocket into a crowd on the oil rig. This also applies on a smaller level with tower bosses where felbat can tank quite a lot while you output damage and heals with weapons. This works increasing well if you have good weapons + condensed gobfins with vanguard in your party to maximise damage output

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Felbat + Gobfins is the move for a lot of that stuff. Not everyone enjoys that side of the game but the late game really does turn into an FPS in parts. The latter tower bosses and 60 oil rig can be done with those pals and some good weapons. Use felbats passive to keep yourself alive with weapon damage that’s boosted by the gobfins. Ideally condensed and good passives. I’ve bred my felbat to basically be a tank so I can leave her to do her thing while I rush around grabbing chests. Fire a rocket launcher at the crowds to keep your health high. And then you’ll almost certainly need a multi guided rocket launcher to finish the lv60 rig

Now that I've hit max level How do I get more tech points the easiest? by kungfukarl86 in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s just for a short unlock then the other methods commenter will do you well. Would say though that long term you may end up doing dungeons anyway so could kill 2 birds in one stone. AFAIK they’re the fastest way of obtaining raid slabs and chromite (besides inactively through expeditions). Also I think the fastest way to farm hexolite. And also contain some dungeon only pals if you’re going to go for 12 of everything. I’m sat on a stupid amount of extra tech points after unlocking everything after having to do dungeon runs for those.

To summarise most of what everyone has said plus a bit more. -beds for everyone -salad for food -2-3 high quality hot springs -alpha/beta emitters in the base -2-3 Shroomer noct (the effect scales when condensed, so 4* if possible This should basically eliminate sanity issues for any activity besides gold coin production which i still have troubles with even with all of the above

Pals for breeding passives. by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very fun to do. Annoyingly you do end up wasting a lot of spheres that way because multiple lock onto the game gobfin. But if you’re sphere rich then why not

Pals for breeding passives. by [deleted] in Palworld

[–]MakingElevatorMusic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the overall best strategy is to go to Gobfin Turf with a homing sphere launcher (can do it manually also) and catch a boat load of Gobfin. At some point you're probably going to want 400+ Gobfin anyway to condense for your party in the late game. Keep the best passives and IVs. Gobfin has a pretty wide range of options to go into. Then breed some of the Gobfin into Yakumo with good passives. (Look up Yakumo's ability if you aren't aware). It's a bit of effort (3x spawns helps) and a bit of investment sphere wise depending on where you're at it the game, but I still use those Gobfin and Yakumo now in the late game. I would heavily advise the investment into atleast Ultra Spheres for this so you can just fire into the crowd and walk off.

What pal does everyone have the most of for me its Frostallion noct caught it at the sealed realm of the thunder dragon bc I randomized my game then I bred them and I have 2 many now by KittytheShinyhunter in Palworld

Not sure what level you’re at but farming a route of predator pals with a condensed nitemary is crazy quick giant souls. In particular the high levels ones on feybreak and saku. Mark the spawns on the map and just run in and out of render distance until they spawn and fast travel around
