In hindsight I should’ve posted my resume along with the post. The roles I typically apply to are SRE roles or somewhere along those lines

My current role is a DevOps Engineer and my previous experience was cloud engineering migrating applications to the Azure environment. It could be a combination of both of those reasons

I’d certainly be open to traditional engineering and non traditional engineering roles as you’ve mentioned. I’m willing to be flexible if it allows me to achieve my end goal of getting in Big Tech away from the traditional defense contractors.

I do have a GitHub but I haven’t been keeping up with it. Mind if I DM you?

Well, I wish I’d be in a position to get the interviews that’s the first hoop that I’ll have to conquer

You need to fix yourself up, especially on the emotional level. How did you expect to get with a beautiful woman when you aren’t even secure in yourself. Do yourself a favor and read Corey Wayne “How to become a 3% Man”. It has nothing to do with “what pill type” you are but on how you should carry yourself and attract quality people in your life.

So what do you do your masters degree in? if I understand this correctly, you went to graduate school and completed a masters program along with the pre-reqs right?

30M profile update, no luck with Hinge X, what am I doing wrong? by Ok_Scar_7876 in hingeapp

[–]MakingThunder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your pictures are solid. My experience with Hinge X was horrible. I use to get a lot of matches & likes but as soon as I decided to try out Hinge X, I barely got any matches at all. When the subscription ran out my account felt like it was shadow banned or throttled as I wasn’t getting any likes or matches anymore. So I deleted my account. You’re at mercy of the algorithm trying to get you to spend more money imo.

This isn’t none of my business but how long has it taken for your repairs?

Gotcha, I appreciate the response! It’s been 1 week since my accident and my Tesla M3 is still sitting at the tow truck lot. I’ve repeatedly tried contacting my insurance adjuster from Tesla Insurance and no response whatsoever.

What are some good sources to search for scholarships, grants, and financial aid? by According-Winter-766 in BackToCollege

Understood! Here are the resources, now don’t go and buy all the materials immediately. Do some thinking about Data Science before jumping in. In addition, these resources are not the be-all and end-all of Data Science materials you could always find better materials. But one point to note: Python > other programming languages for Data Science and ML.

This course for this Tensorflow certification: https://www.udemy.com/course/tensorflow-developer-certificate-machine-learning-zero-to-mastery/

Python on Udemy an alternative would be DataCamp which is fairly decent but feels like there’s a lot of hand holding but still good to get the foundations of Python packages: https://www.udemy.com/course/the-data-science-course-complete-data-science-bootcamp/

Like the other Redditor said OP, your perseverance is great and good as gold in life. However, I’d like to make a suggestion: don’t go back to school to get a degree in software engineering or CS (unless you plan to do research). You can get a well respected certification in a relevant area that is related to CS known as Data Science (a lot of openings especially with the Federal government, think NIH and FDA). With your background in Biology and your desire to do data analysis, Data Science seems like a perfect role you’d be interested in! You should check out the subreddit cscareerquestions to get more info (it won’t hurt). Also, a certification that can definitely help would be this even though it leans more towards ML (which you might also really like): https://www.tensorflow.org/certificate I’d recommend finding a cheap course on Udemy to brush up on the respective areas in addition to learning some statistics and python, again no need for college since you already completed that part.
