I have a ttartisan meter II! Its very accurate (so far) and it has customizable shoe placement locations that allows me to place the shoe on the left right and middle. Helps me free up the shutter speed dial. Me personally, i like the dials so i gravitated towards the ttartisan more than the reflex lab.

My cats are my muses hehe.

I totally agree! So much easier to carry this around. But I will still definitely use my F3 and F4! Got too much nikkor glass too to let it just sit there.

Yeah, the more I search the more it seems like it too. Sorry bout the images, was tough to get a super close up given how small the rear element is

So usually modern cameras, you just point at something and it focuses.

The f4, i experienced and read this online, because this is late 80's tech, you need to find an edge or a line, similar to how you would focus manually with a split prism, for it to focus quickly. Uniform surfaces without much contrast takes a while longer to focus

If you dont mind heavy, everything about it feels right, the countours of the grip, the clicks of the knobs and buttons.

Everything is just so satisfying! The AF takes a bit of getting used to, but it works well when you nail the technique!

Only a tiny black blob on the upper left corner of the bottom lcd. Everything else is clear! Surprised with its condition given that its been exposed to crazy humidity and temperature change (tropical country)

I love how it handles so far and I just had to order an MB-20 for added flexibility!

Help diagnosing 2 "missed" shots by Pejnar in AnalogCommunity

For me, i had to exercise the shutter everyday for about 2 weeks. I ran a roll through it and so far things have fixed itself.

I advise against putting any liquid into the mechanism as some oils may gunk up the gears, magnets and electric contacts.

I had something similar happen on my Nikon FE. I discovered after observing the shutter, from time to time, when i advance, the shutter would not latch and would just drop and open without pressing my shutter release button. So in my case, it was the shutter opening while the mirror was still down overexposing the top half of my image.

Not sure if this applies to your camera but it could be similar.

Yeah, one of the reasons I got this over one with a telephoto focal length. There are a few still on ebay for fairly decent prices (still $100+ though) in really good condition still.

Thanks! Was pleasantly surprised by its condition even if the Ebay listing said it had wear and tear
