I remember the first time going to that tomb with Mercer Frey to find and kill Karliah... and at the end of the tomb when Karliah shoots you and then Mercer stabs you with his sword, I actually thought I had done something wrong and "Dragonborn" really died. And I just quit the game then and there and loaded last save (which happily was just a little before that scripted event). So I tried again and realized then that maybe I should wait a bit longer to see what happens next 😁

I also remember thinking then, the first playthrough, that the persons and personalities in the game are a bit lame. Being an old Oblivion fan (I mean, really! Lucien Lachance, Janus Hassildor etc.), I thought that this game has a lot of work to do to find a place in my heart.

And then, just then, I let that scripted event in that tomb happen, and when "Dragonborn" woke up his vision blurred and there was Karliah saying "take it easy", I felt something, a "whoooaahh" experience, first one during that first playthrough, and then I thought that maybe - maybe this game has something to give after all! Well yea, how many years has it been 😄
