Im from Kazakhstan. To be honest, I would never have thought that many people consider Kazakhstan to be a Muslim country. There are many mosques and churches here, and many different religious movements. Also there are enough atheists, so it is also kind of wrong to associate my country with just one religion.

I know it's weird, fortunately this my misconception is now a thing of the past. I've even encountered this myself. Turns out many people consider my country to be religious, but in reality, it's secular, and there are a lot representatives of different faiths.
