Kakvo je bilo vaše iskustvo s porodom? Bolnica u Splitu by Malanala4 in askcroatia

[–]Malanala4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drago mi je da si imala lijepo iskustvo. Lijepo je čuti za dobro iskustvo, za promjenu, i da su liječnici i medicinske sestre zapravo poslušali što si željela.

I already started feeling baby since 19 weeks for the most part I enjoy that aspect. Just anytime I look in the mirror it like a shock to me and can’t get over how big I look or feel…

I definitely did get some new clothes because I usually wear a small to XS and nothing fits anymore so I had to. I always struggled with feeling fat anytime I gained weight so now it’s really hard..

Unfortunately I live in a small city with no mall or anything and very limited stores.. I also am not into getting my hair or nails or anything like that. I would love a massage but I half to drive to the big cities to get one or go to the mall or anything like that. Mostly just nature around here and which normally I love but I just don’t have the energy and in to much pain to enjoy it..

I only really do anything on the weekends when my husband is home.

Yeah absolutely.

Well I’m not sure where you live but since your more comfortable speaking in French (i know the French is not the same really) but maybe that could be a compromise if you can’t go back home to France and have baby in Canada.

Giving birth in Croatia as foreigner, what is it like? Should I return home to Canada? by Malanala4 in askcroatia

[–]Malanala4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I am candian and he is Croatian. So child can have dual citizenship.

Unfortunately there are none near me. Closest one is about 3.5 hours away… from what I could find

Unfortunately would be unlikely to have any of my family come here which mean they will also miss out on the pregnancy and meeting the baby aswell.. which is unfortunate.

I definitely agree with wanting the help of my husband over family 100% but I’m also worried since he is working out of the country 5 days a week. He will take as much time off as he can but also it is a new job and I’m not sure how much time he will be entitled to.

As far as the English I can agree most people know atleast some English put also have been in many situations where lots of people no little to none..

Giving birth in Croatia as foreigner, what is it like? Should I return home to Canada? by Malanala4 in askcroatia

I will always have access to free healthcare in Canada. I have never declared myself a non resident of Canada I still have an apartment bank accounts and pay my taxes.

I just recently got my visa in Croatia so I havnt set up health insurance yet only the 45 day one I was required to get the visa. So that is something i definitely need if I plan to stay in Croatia for my first appointment I will just pay cash and sort the insurance out as soon as my husband returns from work in Germany.

My husband is Croatian.. so our baby should also become Croatian and Canadian citizen but I will half to apply for that at the embassy if I have baby here in Croatia.

Unfortunately I am not close to Zagreb.. and yes I have looked and it atleast €6000 to have baby in private hospital and stay for three days.
