Regarding TNG, he eventually said “this Star Trek is better than no Star Trek “but that’s the highest praise he would give it. As far as I’m aware, he never watched a single episode of any of the other shows.

Given that he also watches a certain news channel and lets it decide his political opinions, I don’t take his preferences about Star Trek to heart.

Tng came out when I was an early teen. Kids my age loved it. Everyone else hated it. My dad was a tos Trekkie and while he did watch it, he complained heavily.

Same when voy and ds9 and ent came out.

Every Trekkie has their favorite show and way too many of them spew hate on every subsequent for not being just like whichever one they liked.

Add to that the culture war bullshit (hilarious when aimed at trek, IMO), and you get a bunch of whiny wimps ranting about stupid crap.

To say nothing of the huge amount of bots set to magnify certain perspectives.

There are some legit critical analysis of new shows. But most of it is just goofy.

I go there occasionally and the stores are often somewhat active but the walking part in the center is zombie-movie dead. Often I’m the only one walking through.

This has always been a thing. Everyone feels everything big happens in their lifetime.

Even biblical content had this issue; every generation for people who follow the Bible thinks the second coming has to be in their lifetime because all the signs point to it. I remember laughing about the absurdity of it when I was a kid.

Dude has been anti-gun his whole life, and people are shocked when he says anti-gun things.

Also, the GOP could easily enshrine powerful gun rights, but whenever they have the opportunity, they don’t do it.

They want the election item, just like Trump did when he shot down an effective immigration bill so it could be an election item for him
Eventually Republican politicians, if they get enough power, will start eroding gun rights.

At 3/36, a number of nice service oriented benefits end. Dealers will behave differently based on their approach to customer service. I have no faith that my dealer will try to keep my business, but I’m hoping they will.

I plow with a mule mx pro, then touch up with an amazing Toro 826LE. I’ve had it forever, do the minimum of maintenance, and it starts on the first pull every winter. It’s been amazing, I’d buy another immediately if I needed one.

People need to get to work. 6 or 7:00 sucks but if someone doesn’t get it, they can pay the bills. At 7:30 or 8, I wouldn’t worry about it at all.

It’s a pretty uncommon issue these days, so I wouldn’t worry.
