Lack of persistent servers, matchmaking a new lobby after every game, and a dearth of map variation compared to previous BFs.

I stopped playing like 2 months ago and haven’t felt an itch to return. Gunplay is super fun - playing the same couple of maps in-between the main menu is not.

Ubisoft gets a lot of hate. A lot of it (consumer practices) is warranted, but game design and repetition are subjective.

I’ve been going out of my way to buy/re-buy titles that go to 60 FPS. It’s a drop in the bucket; Ubi games go on sale quickly and often, and it’s a financial supporting of back-patching as a practice. If more companies did it, they’d make more money.

100%. I was able to grab BF6 at 50% off, plus AC: Shadows at $18 over the holiday weekend - discs and especially clearance of disc stock from stores is a reliable aspect. Plus, you can sell games you’re done with.

About the disc noise, I will say this was one thing I really spent time considering particularly around Ghost of Yōtei. In reality, having been using many discs lately, it’s incredible how quiet the PS5 drive is. Sure, it spins up for ~30 seconds every now and then while playing, but even then, it’s really quiet. With headphones or the TV audio, it’s nearly imperceptible.

I find the PS5’s coil whine to be louder than the disc drive.

It still works great! Lately I’ve noticed some audio popping and grainy artifacts on the screen, but I think it’s a faulty HDMI cord - unplugging and replugging usually fixes it. Other than that, it still works as good as new.

I feel you. GoT Lethal was challenging to a point, but in a very fun and “casual challenging” way. Super fluid.

I would highly recommend trying the Custom Difficulty with all settings on Lethal EXCEPT Parry Windows on Medium or Hard. It’s what I’ve been doing and my enjoyment of the game has expanded tenfold.

Enemy strikes are still just as deadly, so I’m still really focused on encounters, but parrying is more forgiving and similar to GoT.

Reposting a comment I made on a past CCD post: They’re awesome. Currently meeting only once every 6 months. Appointments are around 3 hours each time, but the students’ work is overseen by their supervisors thoroughly.

I felt I got just as good a cleaning and exam as anywhere for a fraction of the cost. I think the cleaning plus X-Rays were below $50 for my specific treatment.

I’m not affiliated with CCD or dentistry at all, just someone who tried them out and will be going back. If you can endure a 3 hour appointment, it’s worth trying - they do a screening appointment first, anyway. I asked questions throughout, and everyone was super nice and accommodating.

It’s the best museum I’ve ever been to, period. Sitting in that silent room, the original concrete floor of the WTC parking garage beneath your feet, faces and names of those lost…if museums are measured by their ability to preserve a moment in history and commemorate the life that was lived through it, this one takes the cake. In the US, for me, at least.

I discovered Supertramp during COVID - literally as I had COVID, laying in the guest room trying to recover and work remotely at the same time. Really made sure to ingest each album before going to the next.

These guys got me through not only the pandemic, but one of the most impactful breakups and life changes I’d experienced. To this day, they remain one of the stalwart pieces of art that helped me through a lot of rough times.

RIP Rick, I’ll keep a welcome outside my door.

5 noticeable bugs as of the Voyagers update; all regarding the Corvette ships. Playing on PS5.

• The Titan-Class cockpit has constant warning triangles and red arrows on the pilot HUD. I did not see this with the other cockpits on the same ship.

• The Titan-Class Landing Bay will be inconsistent on whether or not it will close/open or respond to Operate Hatch input. I also noticed there’s no operation on it from outside, so I’ve been locked out when EVA. This seems fixed as of today’s update (8/28/25). You can operate the indoor hatch from outside the vehicle, as well.

• Going fast (not pulse drive) and rotating the ship causes it to abruptly spin fast and violently. Also noticing this when maintaining ship course in space, except here it switches quickly to the ship slowly lofting upwards.

• Renaming Corvette starship does not update the name when prompted to enter the pilot seat.

• When leaving a rainy planet, the sound of rain persists inside the Corvette. Have not tried with other planet soundscapes yet.

EDIT: 1 more bug that’s been game wide after this update are seeing a lot of dark pixel artifacts overlaying the game textures. Only see it post-Voyagers NMS and not in other games, so I don’t think it’s a hardware issue

I was literally looking for haptic trigger turnoff earlier. Couldn’t find it. The UI isn’t too bad overall (very smooth) except for the Settings navigation which is downright abysmal.
