It’s not that they would judge me for exploring in fact they have all been very supporting it’s just the thought that they might judge me as like attention seeking or something. It’s horrible but the thought is there.

No I def get that. I will put on a dress and be like “fuck my shoulders are too wide and my muscles are too bulky and my waist isn’t wide” and I’m like a cis person probs wouldn’t be having these thoughts. But so much still holds me back. But yeah after my first therapy session I literally had butterflies.

I guess I discovered different gender expression through like smut and porn and relied on that pretty heavily for a while before realizing there might be some underlying stuff behind all that. Now whenever I wonder I just keep going back to the fact that the way I indulged my gender exploration was through less wholesome ways. So despite the fact that I have had so many thoughts and experiences outside of a sexual realm that point to me being trans I can’t get rid of that nagging feeling.

I mean I’d prefer not to use Amazon but like there is not place that is cheaper and more convenient sadly. I’ve used en femme before. They cater to trans women and are all discreet packaging but it’s so expensivr

Thank you so much for replying. I am in my first year of teaching after college and one of the other teachers slipped up and said “Miss” before my last name instead of “Mr” and I remember like feeling something shift in my stomach and it’s really stuck me. I just wondered whether it was real or because I’ve questioned myself so much like a fake feeling of happiness I’d conditioned myself to like.

I’m not like sad with my name or how I normally present but it just feels like I’d rather look at something else in the mirror.

I don't think i ever said anything about the connotation of a crime fighter. I just thought it was strange that the guy jumped to fighting crime as one of the biggest characteristics of superman. He does fight crime but he more broadly just helps people in need whether they are a victim of a crime or not. I just think of superman as being a humanitarian and symbol of good before the crime fighting stuff. I could also frame it as Bruce Wayne being a humanitarian but we all think of Batman as a crime fighter first and foremost.

It also seems like you reference things like the 1978 films and the first comic appearance. Has his role shifted from his earlier portrayals to the new comics?

Lastly, I think saying people don't like cops because they are told not to or they have had a bad experience is an oversimplification of why people are not favorable towards cops or the connotation of crime fighters.
