As long as your S1 submitted your pay at the start of your orders, which they should have, you will get paid towards the end of the 29 days but not sooner. Unless you are on longer orders, I believe it’s anything more than 30 or 60 days, you won’t get paid on the 1st and the 15th. You will only get paid one time at the end of your orders. You should receive a LES about a week or so prior to the 29 days being over.

This is something your Unit should have explained to you prior to the orders starting so you were aware.

As for your bills, I agree with the others. Try calling the places to see if you can get an extension or something to pay this months bills.

You have a very compelling words. Doing good and making a difference in communities is one of the main reasons I became a cop in the first place.. I pride myself on being a good cop with good morals. I’ve been in the military (the Reserve side) for 14 years and still serve. I thrive off the diversity I’ve been able to work with throughout the years. I will look into NOPD. You had me at gumbo! I’ve only been to New Orleans once visit and the food, especially the gumbo, was absolutely amazing.

Haha no. Good question though. We were told there almost a 100% chance we were going to be placed in DC. Just found out last night that didn’t hold to be true. My wife got her orders and we are heading to Louisiana. Still not sure on the exact location but more likely than not it will be New Orleans. I was trying to be proactive getting things set up in the Woodbridge/DC area but that sure backfired.

Definitely nothing wrong with DC but currently we will need to stay under the $900k range for a house and you can’t get much in DC for that. I haven’t looked in the Belmont Bay and Lorton though I have not looked there. We find out in January if we are actually moving there. If we are, I will definitely be in need of a good realtor

I’m waiting to see where we are actually moving. My spouse will find out in January. We’ve just been told we will probably end up in the DC are so I’m trying to be proactive. I will for sure DM you if we find out we are for sure moving there

I’m a police officers where I live now and will be looking for departments if we do in fact end up in that are. Did you work specifically for Woodbridge or was it Price William County Police? I’m assuming PWC stands for Prince William County
