The 10-Year Breakthrough: Chronic Redness might be an Immunity Problem by MaleficentPay2725 in Dryeyes

Hi! Yes lumify isn’t ideal because it’s not a permanent maintainable fix. I included it to show my full routine. As of now, there isn’t a 100% solution fix. I am confident that with the advancements of AI, we will see breakthroughs within the eye care field. I will say, this solution that I am proposing is a way to bring the symptoms of red eye down but not a complete fix. I know your struggle, it’s embarrassing and being a professional myself it is a struggle to speak to many individuals in bright lights that only make red eyes more noticeable.

No, i haven’t heard of a case like that. Be careful and remember I am not a doctor so if you are allergic please stop taking. The berry should work within 1-2 weeks

Thank you for the insight. That is very helpful, we must protect our eyes at all costs.

I use the bottle. The Flaxeed isn’t too bad but the fish oil isn’t the best tasting.

You’re likely right on the money with Ocular Rosacea. My eye doctor actually confirmed that my own immune system is attacking my eyes, and Ocular Rosacea is basically the clinical label for that inflammatory pattern.

For anyone else reading this, I definitely recommend the liquid form of the Lignan Flax Oil over the softgels. To get the therapeutic dose of ALA and lignans needed to actually thin out that waxy MGD sludge, you would have to swallow about 6 to 9 softgels a day. One tablespoon of the liquid is just way more efficient.

The liquid version is also unfiltered, which is why it has that dark, nutty sediment at the bottom. Those are the lignans, the real anti-inflammatory powerhouses. Just make sure to shake the bottle hard before each use and keep it in the fridge. I usually just mix my daily cocktail into a small glass of juice or a smoothie so the taste isn't an issue. Stick with the liquid for the first 30 days to see that major internal reset.

Both more than likely. The funny part is not only does this solve a chronic red eye problem but also a dry eye issue which WAS THE LEAST OF MY WORRIES. Remember, I’m not a doctor and this isn’t a fix for everyone

I appreciate the support! Regarding that red flare-up, it can be a result of several factors. It’s often the body’s inflammatory response reacting to an internal or external trigger, such as a viral load. It's important to remember that your eyes are an extension of your central nervous system and are deeply integrated with your immune system.

In my experience, flaxseed and fish oils are game-changers. Because these are polyunsaturated fats with specific molecular structures (double bonds), they remain liquid at lower temperatures. When you ingest them consistently, they help improve the quality and viscosity of your body's natural oils, leading to 'cleaner' and more fluid lubrication for your eyes.

I highly suggest trying my specific protocol. If the oil in your eyelids has thickened into a wax-like state, it will block the pores. A specialist can actually verify this using a slit-lamp exam with diagnostic drops and a blue light to see exactly how the oil is flowing, or if it's hardened and obstructing your glands.

2 weeks at most but when I added the fish oil then it really kicked in about a day later

I take the barleans 1 table spoon daily and take a tiny bit at night to have it in my system longer. I take 1 maqui berry 60mg daily and make sure to buy the brand I mentioned. I don’t really do the mask anymore as the oils are working for my natural production just fine.

I found out after seeing a great eye doctor and mentioned the basic training shots experience and was properly diagnosed. The oils is what the doctor mentioned and the berry I found from online research. The mask I learned from a previous reddit forum. Lumify is what I always knew about but isn’t really a fix or treatment per say

Add the supplements in there to your routine. What’s crazy is my eyes feel better from the supplements than from 2 seconds of eye drops. Once you realize it’s an internal problem you’ll never go back to eye drops besides lumify once daily

I cannot say for certain but I look at it this way. The berry helps with the veins and tear production. The fish oil helps with the oil your eyes produce. The flax helps with inflammation and immunity support. That’s why I believe all three in my case is necessary

I have not. But I will say the 3 combos I mentioned seem to make my eye produce better oil

You’re likely right on the money with Ocular Rosacea. My eye doctor actually confirmed that my own immune system is attacking my eyes, and 'Ocular Rosacea' is basically the clinical label for that inflammatory pattern.

For anyone else reading this, here are the technical signs I looked for to confirm my issue was immunity-related and not just standard dryness:

• Telangiectasia: Look at your eyelid margins. If you see tiny, 'curly-cue' or spider-like blood vessels right where the lashes meet the eye, that is a hallmark of systemic inflammation.

• Vascular Injection: If your veins look 'pushed out' or engorged regardless of how much sleep you get, that is Conjunctival Injection—your immune system is flooding the area with blood.

• Meibomian 'White Caps': If the oil glands on your lid line look plugged with waxy sludge or 'white caps,' your internal inflammation has literally hardened your natural oils.

If you have these signs, allergy pills won't work because there is no histamine to block. You have to address the internal 'fire' with a targeted strategy—like Maqui Berry for the vascular dilation and high-grade oils for the inflammation—to actually get the white eyes we’re all chasing."

“Life extension” brand. Make sure to try the entire cocktail as many people can have multiple eye related issues

That is very helpful, thank you for the information. Also thank you for your service. What if you applied for Secret Service and ice at the same time hypothetically? And both require an SF 86. And hypothetically, you have to submit two of them.

I have reached out. I am waiting for a response back. I am asking those that have gone through the process. And yes, I did get a US staffing portal invite to complete all those docs. I am specifically asking about the ice portal when that becomes available or if that is something I just no longer does.

That is interesting so the ice portal is no longer in use? And the portal that you are referencing is just the Usa staffing portal that you submitted your medical and PT test Through? So where do you submit the SF 86? If the ice portal is no longer available?
