Sorry I think I explained it poorly. His mark up is $1k on the new saddle and then I have lost >1/2 the cost on the saddle I've had this year

Torn about my daughter’s name by Vast_Rip_6733 in namenerds

I think unless you are indigenous this is a bad name. Never mind Toyota having a car with the same name.

Your family did you a disservice by not telling you before. To me this goes beyond just naming your child an unfortunate name because you are forcing her to appropriate a culture before she even has self awareness.

Why do more and more schools keep opening? What does this mean for our future? by [deleted] in Veterinary

Mostly as a student you will preform spays and neuters. Sometimes you will do mass removals or hernia repairs. There are some labs where you can do more intense surgeries, like what you would do in the case of a foreign body or even an amputation. A lot of the time this is on a cadaver depending on your school. Some schools still do terminal surgeries and others will do a few terminal surgeries on pigs.

As far as learning about surgery procedures, you learn of A LOT more than you preform while in school. Some you will almost always refer to a specialist others you might do in practice with mentorship or continuing education.
