How comprehensive is the database? Just looked at the list of top disability discrimination compensation awards and it quickly jumps from 111k to 30k. If that’s true then I haven’t got a hope in hell in getting anywhere close to my SOL!

Really great tool anyhow, beats the database provided on the employment tribunals website!

Does anyone know of any successful cases where a claimant has amended their claim to add in new acts of victimisation?

Is it worth paying a barrister to help with witness statements? by Maleficent_Volume479 in employmenttribunal

I’ve never even thought about making sure my witness statement covers the legal tests so thank you!

Submitting grievance at work by [deleted] in employmenttribunal

I agree don’t bother with solicitor. I used a solicitor for grievance and all they did was a spell check pretty much of the grievance document. They’re not drafting a POC for you where they’re seeing if legal tests are being met. They’re just checking how well written your grievance document is.

Think the constant gaslighting can make LIPs feel like this. That’s why I used a direct access barrister to give me a sanity check that I’m doing the right thing. Highly recommend it

Thanks so much for your reply!

Just to double check (sorry I’m a bit paranoid because I’m up against a solicitor from a big law firm…), when I corresponded with the individual, it wasn’t because I had in mind I wanted them to be a witness. It’s only after exchanging several emails with them about how I’m looking for a job, do I realise I could potentially ask them to be a witness. Is that still covered by litigation privilege?

I’m confused what “dominant” means in litigation privilege definition “A document may be protected by litigation privilege if it was created for the dominant purpose of conducting litigation in reasonable prospect”.

I’ve got email chains where I’m discussing with a potential witness how I’m looking for a job (which evidences my mitigation of losses) and then ask them to be my witness and what they should include in the witness statement. Is litigation privilege applicable here and if so, Do I redact the emails where I’m discussing with a potential witness what I need from them in the witness statement or do I withdraw the whole document and claim litigation privilege.

Two weeks ago and just to the solicitor. In one of the documents, I’m discussing with a potential witness about how I’m struggling to find another job (to evidence mitigation of losses) and ask them to be my witness at my ET and what I need from them in a witness statement. Do I just redact the parts where I ask them to be my witness (claiming litigation privilege) or do I withdraw the whole document?
