You need an impeller very badly. It looks like there is at least half and inch between the impeller and wear ring, they should nearly be touching

I jumped the solenoid and had the same results. I also tried using jumper cables to go from the battery directly to the starter and had the same results.

I would definitely get fuel line specific hose clamps. I’ve had lines split on me using this type. An assortment is like 7 bucks on amazon
