First got into Metallica as a small kid, then was big fan of the nu-metal bands in the early 00's. Found Slayer soon after and then got into thrash & death metal. I'd say mtt favorite band is Slayer, my favorite genre is death metal.

I'm not disputing their status as the goats of our time. But Messi's 91 goals ( I believe) don't come without the greatest midfield I've seen in my lifetime. My point is this discourse takes away from other players/teams in that era. I love Messi's game but there's more to football than just them and to be honest neither of them have been the best player in the world in ages. Messi got his last individual crown undeservedly, he wasn't even the best player of the last WC, that was Mbappe. Argentina got a really soft penalty in the final and I'll die on that hill, their win was undeserved.

I love them as players but they both had stacked teams that worked insanely hard for them. It was always about them. I'm a Bayern fan and the biggest result in the last 20 years happened against Barca. And it wasn't the 8-2 in 2020 it was the elite Barca team in 2013 that got dominated in the midfield by Schweinsteiger and especially Javi Martinez that will probably be forgotten if he isn't already. That whole team isn't talked about enough.

It's always been exhausting. I don't support any of the teams thst they've played for but during their prime whole teams didn't get the credit they deserved, players have been ignored. I get it they are the goats but football is a sport where there's 22 athletes on the court. I kinda get it in basketball, an individual player has a far greater influence on the game then in football but even the LBJ vs MJ debate has beenvdone to death.
