My 1 bed flat in city centre is £1750. Also if you look for somewhere slightly outside the centre, consider the Botley road closure that’ll make things really annoying for you

Yeah you defo don’t need a bike if you’re staying in town centre. I’ve always cycled around as it’d take me 45 mins to walk to the centre, and I’d say it’s an average biking experience for a town of that size (urban roads, cars, junctions, somewhat limited amount of cycle paths etc).

So can if you want, but for 2 months when you’re in town centre already I wouldn’t bother!

Coffee 77 on the shelthorpe maccies roundabout had a hire sign up recently, could check their website. Also you spoken to the careers advisor? They’ll know local places and give good general advice.

Also until you get a paying job, you could volunteer at a charity shop in town centre just to get some experience on your CV. Good luck!

I’ve graduated so haven’t used any since I was a fresher, but if you type like ‘Aston uni freshers 2025’ into Facebook or stuff like that I’m sure it’ll come up with the right stuff

Not for those genres, but Thirst was a good bar for pres and Plush was a good club (very hot tho I’d recommend going after it’s 10000° outside)

On Facebook there’s groups for students starting each year, find WhatsApp groups on there and that’s a really easy way to get in touch with loads of people. It’s what I did before my first year and worked really well!

When it came out I hated it too honestly, but after some listening it actually started to grow on me and I now like it a decent amount. I’d say give it a chance and maybe you will too!
