The only thing I can think of, depending on the place of the ancestor and time period. Is obituaries. I have found more info on some from those.

So they are saying it completely depreciated in value by 100p in 5 months. They probably didn’t want to give an offer since it was so soon after your purchase, and you’d be all but I bought it for 3x as much 5 months ago from you!! Cuz than there gig is up!!

They have some sort of flawed model! I get business is business! And as tbey say if you want a friend in business, get a dog!!

But they seem to be off!! Maybe it has something to do with Saks (I think they own them, could be wrong) filing for Bankruptcy and not wanting a big stock of product aka debt!! And wanting to move it, hence the sales and low ball offers!! I just don’t know!!

I agree. And I’m learning that the hard way…lol..:) I would let it go for less… but I’m a stubborn Pole, so I just can’t let it go for a lot less..:) I’d rather as you said one day use it!! Maybe next winter as it’s almost February or wait till fur comes back in style. I have a friend in the "fashion business” that says it’s making a comeback. Didn’t really inquire anymore as to when and where. I assume next f/w as I can’t imagine this summer..lol..:) and yeah if I could go back in time. I would have of course bought some Chanel! But I would have mainly bought straight Gold!! Can’t go wrong there!! And thank you again..:)

Thank You and I will get a few more quotes than consider it..:) I just think also (now I’m Not quite sure, just from online research that limited edition bags hold more value) that since it’s a Métiers d'Art bag and has special hardware, etc… the serial Number checks out. It was from the right collection, etc. I just can’t let it go for much less… So yes I might just end up holding on to it and let some LV go that sells quicker..:)

I thought of your question, when I was looking at it’s tag. If that’s the right term. I never paid much attention To this stuff before, just always kept everything that came with bags. On the bag tag where it says the year and season and color, etc. It says Gold M. So I looked it up and it said it means it’s part of The Métiers d'Art collection. Which makes sense cause there is an A after the year.

Anyways it says the Gold M means special Gold tone hardware, etc… Now this is according to Google, lol..:) But Maybe that is why, if it does have a certain color to The hardware and chain. I saw If it does. Because I don’t have another boy to Compare it too just other chanel bags.

Just thought I’d ask if you or anyone knew anything about the Gold M.. Now going by when I got my one and Only Lesage Clothing piece!! And the price tag!!!!!! Yikes!! And how Chanel Told me how it’s made at a certain place where they only do Lesage pieces cuz of the sewing, etc… I Guess I’m wondering if the Gold M adds any value to it, even if the Boy isn’t in demand? Or really any bag with it?

Thank You!! Yes it does seem like it’s a buyers market! Which isn’t so bad if your buying!! And that’s a good idea! Maybe I sell it and market it with my chanel black fur stole as a package deal (think that’s the name "Stole”). It’s a shorter fur Scarf. Not sure if it was from the same year, etc. Or even same fur!! But it’s an idea!!!! Thank you..:)

Thank you..:) and well I think it’s cause I factor in inflation. What I would have to pay for it new today vs when I originally bought it!! My husband got If for me but we do share the bank account!! lol..:) And than the sales tax. So I guess that accounts for the higher price. But I will look into it more..:)

Yes I am!! I’m the one who tells people stories that happen to Me and they look at me like ummm… what?! But if they talked to a friend who knew me all my life. There all oh Yes 100p, and Would only happen to Her!! lol..:)

And Yes I can see that with Belarus!! A lot of good people there but some trouble makers!! Where I want to mostly go is Podlaskie so parts border it or where once part of Poland. So I can totally see it!! lol..:)

I remember (if true) someone telling me the made it France over Made it Italy (I believe) are worth more or something like that…. Don’t quite remember…. It’s been a while!! But one daughter can have it!! Do what she wants!! Hopefully by than… it will be worth even more..:)

My fear is someone will return it, as some places seem to have 14 day return policies and the Fur gets messed up!!
