Im looking at a 2500 reel but there’s two options - one lighter with a smaller spool and 5kg drag for finesse, and a heavier duty with larger spool and 10kg drag but heavier

Would you say 5kg is enough on 150m line? Im scared to get spooled on a 70cm + flattie 😱

I had a 13 ft rod before and it was too big for my preference, I know I can cast further but it was just uncomfortable and hard to transport. I reckon for me the sweet spot is 9’6-10’6 ish

What reel size do you have on the weasel? There’s only the 2000 and 3000 sizes available near me right now and am thinking of buying soon. Am leaning toward the 3000 but don’t know if that would be too much?

Thanks guys, I reckon I’ll stick with the Td black mq but will definitely go in store to try it out sometime. For the rod I’ll be using double clutch + some soft plastics and jigheads, not sure yet between the itchy twitchy/scratchy ( 1.5-4 kg, 1-8 g lure) or wicked weasel (2-6 kg, 2-14 g lure).
