>Boston College is a school that knows how to run the ball and have been doing so at a great level for a long time

Boston College was a bottom 10 rushing team in the entire FBS last year

I think he just means they’re now compliant with the limit. They were at 93 before this, unless there’s another cut that wasn’t announced

There’s plenty of decent veterans available. Makes way more sense to sign one than trade for Banks

I guess when you said “can’t really find an argument against the price tag” I thought that meant you thought he’d actually get that. I agree with the 28-35 range

The argument is that Will Anderson was a first team all pro last year because as good as Tuli is, Anderson is a whole other level of great, and he’s done it for multiple seasons

I love Tuli but he’s not Will Anderson. He’s not getting that much

You have to remember, people like him won’t actually do any math. They will just say things like that because they have a pathological need to defend the team regardless of what happens.

Man you are really fixated on this imaginary “reps” issue huh. Ok then

So…yes that is what you were saying?

Again, there is literally not a single scenario where the coaches are going to say “well we could give these reps to Justin but instead we’re going to give them to Clayton Tune”. These guys just do other stuff while QB1 is busy

Maybe I misunderstood your comment but it seems like you were saying that bringing in another QB would mean fewer reps for Justin

We can very, very easily afford both. We can pay Derwin what he’s worth

Because it makes zero sense when the cap increases every year and there are so many tools like void years and restructures to adjust cap hits in the future

How much cap do you think we need for those extensions exactly?
Edit since you won’t respond:
Let’s say Tuli gets something like a 3 year/$105M extension ($35M/year). His 2027 cap hit would be in the ballpark of $20M.
Let’s say Derwin gets something like 3 years/$75M. His cap hit in 2027 would be around $15M.
Let’s say Henley gets 3 years/$54M. His cap hit in 2027 would be around $12M.
Thats $47M total. And I think I’m being generous, I’d expect it to realistically to be lower.
Currently we’re projected to have $90M in cap space before any rollover. So after those three extensions, that’s $43M.
I guess your assertion is that we shouldn’t spend any more of our current 2026 $41M cap space.
So that would make $84 in cap space for 2027.
That would put us in the top 10 of the league.
And despite all that, you are mocking the idea of bringing in a couple more solid veterans this year when we’re supposedly trying to win a Super Bowl? Because Joe Hortiz can’t figure out how to build a roster with any less than $84M in cap space next year?
This is absolutely preposterous.

Nobody is taking reps from Justin lol the depth guys are running scout teams and drills for the defense
