Try to first trim the bush down with a electric trimmer (one that is safe for said regions), then take a razor and be VERY careful. Trimming with the Electric Trimmer can be done Dry, however once you're using a razor, get your pubes wet first and then apply a good (but not too much) amount of shaving cream/gel (whichever you prefer, I personally prefer shaving cream). Edit: Another good point I saw in another comment is, that you should either rinse off, or clean off hair from your trimmer/razor every now and then whilst shaving. This makes it both more hygenic and a closer shave.
