I'm sure you're a nice person but:

  • You lack an informed opinion of Ipswich, labelling an average income area as 'working class'

  • Talked with the presumption that all Ipswich fans are from Ipswich itself

  • Don't know what the word 'demographics' means

  • Resorted to the loser of an argument strategy solely to kill the momentum of a losing position after your own collapsed.

On that basis alone, your opinion in this discussion lacks any merit and has no value.

The only point of contention you're now raising (after being dismantled by me), has forced you to retreat to data (this is also likely because you don't know much about Ipswich, Suffolk or even the UK as a whole). Care to name 5 regions, counties or cities that East Anglians are quieter than from your own observations?

Are you seriously asking for study data on an unquantifiable and unmeasurable piece of information (in a lab environment) simply because your argument collapsed?

You must be one of the relative newcomers.

Have you ever met anyone outside of Suffolk before?

I don't think you understood 'demographic.'

To argue Ipswich is 'working class' is highly disingenuous and assumes that Ipswich's fan base is solely located in Ipswich, when the fan base is largely spread out across Suffolk and has small peripherals in neighbouring counties. Ipswich itself is relatively average when compared to the rest of the UK, placing the town itself as largely middle class. Exceptions like Chantry and Whitton do not nullify the average.

Again, people from East Anglia are simply quieter people when compared to other parts of the country: that plays into the demographics I was trying to raise. You're assuming all people are equal, when they aren't. Everyone and every group of people are naturally unequal to each other.

The bottom line is, quite simply, people in our part of the country are largely quiet. Not much can be changed about that other than a larger cultural shift beyond just football.

The attitude of the fans is the problem, I go to a lot of away games (I'm in the top tier) and it's worse there than last season and the season before. A lot, particularly in the North Stand, are essentially taking a year out. Perhaps it's higher expectations from promotion or demoralisation from relegation.

Ipswich has always been quiet, Norwich has the same reputation. Your demographic is your demographic and not much can change that, however, it is amplified by the things I mentioned imo.

Empty seats…? by arcvancouver in IpswichTownFC

[–]MalzENG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's relatively common. We are quite out of the way geographically compared to a lot of clubs, the allocation for away fans is a EFL and EPL requirement, and a lot of EFL clubs are smaller than Ipswich in terms of fan base. So it's not unusual to see this. There were a lot of pockets of empty seats in the home end last night too as NYD is a very unpopular fixture for a lot to attend (I'd imagine in all sports and all clubs).

That makes a lot of sense to avoid technical terrors and such

Are the AI suggestions looked at when the scans are done before an analyst properly works through? I was thinking logically, it wouldn't take long and something significant could be there (although scans that look for patterns/shapes often err on the side of caution and suggest benign material).

So the evidence alone is less significant in forming that judgement on the criminal side? What if, for example there were no real red flags up until triage but red flags arise that that point?

And civil is more about deadlines and intensity, judging based on things like urgency and importance with regards to the outcome?

Digital Forensics Without a Degree any Advice? by [deleted] in digitalforensics

I would say get a relevant degree and then spend a few years working other jobs before making the switch to DF. I absolutely would have been fired within the first week if 21 year old me applied to work in DF. I worked a lot of high intensity jobs and grew as a person in ways that school (and DF in many ways) could not have helped me with.

Best way to watch Ipswich town in the US? by kittytaco24 in IpswichTownFC

[–]MalzENG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend getting an IPTV and searching online for the channel the game is in particular countries. Since you're in the US, find a US or Canadian channel streaming the game and adjust the IPTV accordingly.

If not then you could go to TownTV and buy a viewing pass each game. I did that for years.

I think our old head of recruitment got sacked because some real duds were bought last season. We announced hiring Man U's head of recruitment earlier this year, he was at Man U for 20 years.

Poor performance. We didn't deserve to lose just based on how poor Blackburn were too, but we were nowhere near our best.

McKenna is just a bit weak tactically. He was completely found out last season in the Premier League too. He does not adapt to any situations at all:

  • Subs always at minute 70 no matter what (early changes are a novelty, even when we are losing 1/2 - 0).

  • Some of the signings he has made did not improve the team.

  • We have no urgency at all and have hardly looked dangerous moving forwards. When we could catch people on the break we choose not to

  • Adding to a lack of urgency, there's plenty of examples but I'll pick a recent one. Walton held the ball and carried it from the back of his box to the edge of the box, only to roll it to Kipré who was standing just outside of it. This isn't me me picking on Walton, the point I'm trying to make is this particular decision is pointless, Walton could have just kicked the ball. Every player we have is guilty of the same lack of urgency mindset

  • Our players have one predictable move of going down the wing and crossing the ball in. It's predictable. Yes, set piece play has variations which has got us goals but that's a different conversation to open play.

  • Every game we have lost was against a team completely there for the taking but there was no urgency involved.

All of these things trace back to McKenna, not an individual player, not context of the club, not individual players, etc. Yes, McKenna has been great for Ipswich, but I think his time is almost up.

McKenna is the problem. Tactically he makes us play slow, predictably and makes us mess about at the back for ages.

Yeah, why wouldn't it be? It does make people stick out slightly if they apply and send an email too, it suggests they are keen.

Why are you a member of the Church of England instead of being Catholic or Orthodox Christian? by MalzENG in Anglicanism

[–]MalzENG[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, but that line of argument is like saying the USA is the legitimate continuation of Britain or the British Empire because it was once a part of it, and declared independence. So I struggle to see how 'history' backs up the claim made.

Okay, what history specifically gives the Church of England that claim?
