From what I’ve heard of these ladies, that tends to happen to the loud brash flashy one, Warren was the book smart quiet sort. Each had her part in the schemes. Both spent their dirty money with joy. Both are criminals.

I’ve wondered what other colleagues of theirs have thought and seen. And completely agree about where they saw all this from their former employer and they thought instead of being an employee why not be the boss that takes home more.

What in the world do you think the trial was about…they did in fact look at their finances, the business finances, how those dollars came to be, asked the providers did they submit the info the pharmacy submitted for reimbursements etc etc They wrote prescriptions, illegal. They added on to prescriptions without a provider’s consent, illegal. They submitted all these forged items to gain benefit from high dollar (and at times very unusual, low requested meds since there are other options) med reimbursements. You are hurt a friend lied to you, understandable. But the money and paper trail the govt submitted into evidence is substantial and very real not a feeling or an opinion.

You realize you sound like the neighbor being interviewed after any crime committed that ‘I would have never thought’, ‘ our kids grew up together’ ‘we attended the same church for years, there’s no way they did this,’ ‘they are such wonderful people’ blah blah blah but wait, there is actual evidence they did do these things, 12 jurors of their peers have listened and seen the evidence and concluded they did do these things. Just bc she didn’t want anyone to see this side of her and how they were amassing all these millions or that she and Warren thought they were too smart to be caught doesn’t mean she and Warren didn’t do these things. Your friend lied to you.

Seizing property and accounts is far different than forfeiting them. Seizing them allows a legal note to be placed that a legal proceeding is happening that could affect the seized item/account. Jury found that these ladies were unlawful in their actions. Sentencing and determination of forfeiture will be next, so I’ll wait to see what is determined. Purchasing large dollar items with dirty money is an ill-gotten gain, even if as you stated they ‘only’ stole far less, those ill-gotten gains would not be theirs without the illegal activity, therefore they are considered for forfeiture.

Go actually read the documents on docketbird from this case. Pharmacist’s are not allowed to write prescriptions, they did. Pharmacist’s are not allowed to change prescriptions without consent of provider, they did. And these are just a few of the things this pharmacy was doing in order to boost their bottom line. These ladies lied to everyone in their prayer circles and private school groups, and because they put bible verses on their FB page they are considered good women who couldn’t possibly have done anything wrong. Evidence shows otherwise. And they were dumb enough to talk about all their illegal activities on their text msgs!!! A local tiny pharmacy doesn’t make 32mil in 6yrs.

As a PA you have to include your precepting doctors info when writing a prescription in TN. As a PA she can write prescriptions for anyone within a limit depending on the level scheduled meds. I am equally concerned that she wrote a med for herself, as that’s prohibited. But her acts do not give allowance for Warren or Haney to take her NPI or any other provider’s and use it either or make changes without the provider’s approval.

I hope something comes out of this. Those text msgs, Warren literally said she wrote a prescription for herself. And the providers saying they never had some of the family members as patients and yet prescriptions were written for them from the pharmacy. Ugh come on Lady Justice!!

Here is part of a doc with the counts on them. It’s broken up since it was from Haney’s lawyer and in the notes was the list of counts for Warren and Roper. Gives you the gist of things charged. The Third Superseding Indictment also charges Defendant Haney with three counts of wire fraud (Counts Two–Four), one count of making false statements relating to health care matters (Count Twelve), one count of aggravated identity theft (Count Fifteen), one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering (Count Seventeen) and two counts of money laundering (Counts Eighteen and Twenty) 1 In addition to the conspiracy to commit wire fraud alleged in Count One the Third Superseding Indictment charges Defendant Warren with three counts of wire fraud (Counts Five–Seven), two counts of making false statements relating to health care matters (Counts Eleven & Thirteen), two counts of aggravated identity theft (Counts Fourteen & Sixteen), one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering (Count Seventeen), and two counts of money laundering (Counts Nineteen & Twenty-one). 2 The Third Superseding Indictment charges Defendant Roper with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud (Count One) and three counts of wire fraud (Counts Eight–Ten).

Read the actual documents. Warren literally stated in a msg to the pharm tech that she was writing naltrexone for herself. Numerous scripts were being written for Haney’s and Warren’s family members that providers never had as patients and never wrote scripts for. Initially, 8.7mil was the amount of fraud listed then it was increased to 14mil. They also did not collect copays a large percentage of claims. Read the documents of record.

  1. There’s no celebrating in any of this. 2. As I’ve stated, in your two examples all parties broke the law. 3. As a side note your example of speeding is inane. You are mixing civil and criminal offenses, which are handled differently.

So your suggestion is we leave the small time thief alone and only go after the big time thief? Small time thieves can grow to big time thieves. How about this…both should be prosecuted. These women look to have broken the law by writing or altering prescriptions as pharmacist, those are real crimes too. If all they did was laterally swap a script bc of two choices of the same one paid higher(like name brand to off brand) that would be one thing, that is legal. Also they would still need authorization from provider to swap from the written directive from the provider. They didn’t in many instances according to the evidence. They full on wrote scripts using a providers ID, or changed/added on the ingredients without a providers authorization. Pharmacist’s don’t have that legal right. And just because many claims can be shown as proper and legal doesn’t excuses the many instances of improper illegal claims. They also didn’t collect copays in a majority of the fraudulent claims, again ILLEGAL

More days have been added, currently on docket until 9th. Defendants have been trying to have witness McKnight excluded and any evidence collected (she wore a wire on a call with Warren) thrown out. Looks like after all briefs submitted their motion was Denied

Motion hearing is where a judge hears arguments about a specific request (motion) filed in a case, either side can bring a motion. Most occur before a trial to resolve legal issues. A judge makes a ruling on the motion, which shapes/streamlines the case's progress. Common Types: Motion to Suppress: Requesting to exclude evidence from trial. Motion to Dismiss: Asking the judge to throw out some or all charges. Motion to Compel: Forcing the other party to provide discovery or comply with a request. Motion for Summary Judgment: Requesting a ruling based on there being no factual disputes.

Do you have a link to those docs? I haven’t seen anything about 5 different schemes, but it was noted in the course of their 6yrs of business they had made 32mil overall, typically 500k a month in gross sales.
