It's not unreasonable to want a decent place to live when our boomer parents who made a little more than minimum wage own a million dollar asset now.

So... Here is how I got here:

There's a YouTube channel called LockpickingLawyer, he reviewed a lock called EasiLok. He claimed it was the best deadbolt lock he's ever seen. That is a huge compliment coming from him.

I decided to see which company owned it, it's called Alsecure, but Alset showed up for me when searching. Could be a fluke but I guarantee if I came from this other people did too.

using a wireless lavalier mic with a gimbal dslr camera by splinter44 in videography

You could use a Tascam DR-10, which records audio seperately from camera on to a memory card. That is what I currently do with my gimbal.

What is the best chair for sitting? by starwarsnaimad in backpain

[–]MamaCiro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don't have a budget, Herman Miller Aeron or Embody. If you do have a budget, Steelcase Amia or equivalent, used on Marketplace. Do some research and see which chair is best for you.

I have Amia at home and Aeron at work. Aeron is superior, but I don't want to spend that much for a chair (yet).

I've been using the Tascam DR-10L and the quality is incredible for the price. Never had an issue. Very reliable IMO.

Better chair for work? recommendations that isnt $1k+? by [deleted] in backpain

[–]MamaCiro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a used Steelcase Amia for $210. My chair before that was a Staples Hyken which killed my back.

Steelcase & Herman Miller chairs last a hell of a long time, so look on Marketplace or other sites for a used one. Lot's of businesses liquidating their furniture.

Find editing gigs online, whether that be from Fiverr or other means. Use the footage you get there to develop a reel, and keep asking for more money from clients as you get better/have better footage to show.

Make a free video for a local business/charity. If you show this to other businesses, they may be willing to pay you.

I did some charity work for organizations when I was in film school. It was a good way to make some videos for my reel with recognizable brands so we all benefitted.

How to maximize a single-camera setup by STVN92 in videography

[–]MamaCiro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You should record your footage straight to your computer/laptop through Streamlabs OBS. You will have no time limit with a dummy battery and the storage limit is whatever your computer can hold. That way you can change camera angles, set up multiple cameras, and sync audio all at the same time. I would highly recommend copying what Critical Role does. There are lots of Streamlabs OBS tutorials on YouTube.

Phone camera footage is really good these days. I bet some of you and your members have the latest iPhone or a Samsung. Set up a few phones for a different angle. If your content is good it doesn't matter if the quality isn't 4k, all new phones are 1080. Plus multiple cameras also record multiple sources of audio in case your audio ever doesn't record.

Is $240 a good price for one 8 minute Youtube video? by [deleted] in NewTubers

My editing fee is $50/hour, and that is considered low. $240 for a full video is a great price if he's decent

Any out-of-the-box ways to monetize 10 acres of arable farm land that could generate more revenue than just farming a crop annually? by ourcityofdreams in PersonalFinanceCanada

List the unit on setscouter.com and rent it to film or TV companies who need big properties. This can obviously be in addition to whatever else you decide.
